did the rocky copy

Does any one know if Dwayne Johnson copied T.H.E. Rock from the book "The short-timers"(full metal jacket)?

From the book
"T.H.E. Rocks says, "You know, my mom writes me a lot of letters about what a brave boy T.H.E. Rock is. T.H.E. Rock is not a boy; he's a person." He drinks beer. "I know I'm a person because I know there ain't no Santa Claus. There ain't no fucking Easter bunny. You know? Back in the World we thought that the future is always safe in a little gold box somewhere. Well, I'll live forever. I'm T.H.E. Rock.""

If any one wants to read the book its free here: http://www.gustavhasford.com/ST.htm
it iis split into 3 parts

I saw it like 20 times and still don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

:wtf: The Rock copied nothing Junior. The Rock was unique. The Rock was original.

You're lucky The Rock doesn't come down that copper cable and whip your candy-ass all the way back to Know Your Role Boulevarde.

And that's the bottom line 'cause the Great One said so...oh, wait a minute, maybe he did borrow a few lines.

This is my rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine.

Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, who cares?

Indifferent Clox 12-18-2007 03:13 AM

I'm sure it's somewhat based on this if not directly.

TerranRich 12-18-2007 01:46 PM

No, you're mistaken. The Rock is based on the Sean Connery movie of the same name.

The MAC 12-18-2007 01:59 PM

the rock copied a lot of muhammed ali's persona

Stickman 12-18-2007 02:00 PM

Rocky Miavia

Kane Knight 12-18-2007 02:18 PM

Yes, these are the only two sources in history to refer to themselves in the third person.

Well, them and Rocky "The Face" Johnson from Aberrant.

FaceOfDeath 12-18-2007 09:49 PM

Shut the fuck up, rocky cocksucker.

TerranRich 12-19-2007 10:02 AM

He should've been called "Rock Johnson", the mulatto porn star from Samoa.

Xero 12-19-2007 10:20 AM

Guess he's lucky Russo wasn't booking when he was transforming into The Rock...
