How much money...

Do you think it takes to run WWE Inc. a year?

ilt_undertaker 03-08-2004 05:40 PM

Probably over $1 Million dolloars

Do you seriously realise how small $1 million is for a huge international company like WWE? They have to spend obscene amounts of money just to make $1 million. It costs something like $700,000 just to run two TV tapings a week.

The Mackem 03-08-2004 05:57 PM

I bet they spend a lot on tea and coffee as well.

Rob 03-08-2004 06:03 PM

Vince does. Do normal people drink 5 cups of coffee an hour?

LOL agreed 1 million is a start. It takes a massive amount of money to run the operations when you get down to it. First you have to pay the wrestlers. I couldn't even imagine what the total talent costs are per year, then you have management staff, bookers, ring crw, trainers, etc that get paid. Then you've got the wear and tear on equiptment. Factor in travel expenses and the cost of the McMahons living expenses, you're looking at a fortune being spent a year to run the company.

It blows my mind to think about how much money Vince McMahon has.

Rob 03-09-2004 01:49 PM

Vince McMahon's living expenses don't cut into the WWE budget. They are a public company remember. All the McMahon's have salaries as well as stock and huge bonus schemes as legal ways to have them make big money.

The Mackem 03-09-2004 02:01 PM

and of course...free coffee.

Shaggy 03-09-2004 02:41 PM

Crap if I could find the paper I could tell you. For my birthday present a year ago my grandparents gave me WWE Stock. Every few months we get the report which tells how much the WWE spends and where all the money goes to. Damn it, Where Did I put it.

Savio 03-10-2004 03:24 PM

Not to mention all the crap they break cars, limos, buses, supermarkets, necks, and cameras.

The Mackem 03-10-2004 03:56 PM

and coffee cups

Rob 03-10-2004 04:57 PM

What's that about coffee?

Pegasus Crawford 03-10-2004 05:04 PM

Don't they have to buy like snacks and pastries for the wrestlers to dine on during television tapings as well?

Rob 03-10-2004 05:13 PM

They put on a buffet. Including coffee

The Mackem 03-10-2004 05:17 PM

As far as the eye can see.

Rob 03-10-2004 05:18 PM

You think Vince has a Starbucks in his house?

The Mackem 03-10-2004 05:21 PM

Maybe his own Xtreme brand. Probably not as good though.

Rob 03-10-2004 05:22 PM

Probably a lot stronger though. He has been walking weird ever since he starting drinking all this coffee.

Thats why I said over $1million

VonErich Lives 03-10-2004 06:22 PM

Didn't I read once Big Show has in his contract he gets a limo everywhere because of his size/confort...

I think he should drive a mini-cooper... ever see Mcgilla Gorilla?

Iceman90 03-10-2004 10:57 PM

I would say it would take about 1 billion dollars annually.

Rob 03-11-2004 02:39 PM

ilt_undertaker was closer with $1 million dude.

thuganomicalcrippler 03-25-2004 11:35 AM

How much money does it take?

Probably MILLIONS AND MILLIONS....................

Seriously, I would think its definitely over a billion. I'm sure there was a point in the Attitude Era that Vinnie Mac was a billionaire. He's just a multi-multi-millionaire now.

The Mackem 03-25-2004 04:06 PM

Yeah I think he lost a few million through that XFL thing.

But wait, Steph is the billionaire princess, does she have more money than Vince? Does this mean she gets her coffee first?

Rob 03-25-2004 05:27 PM

Does it fu</>ck! Do you know how hyper Vince is without coffee?

Fabien Barthez 03-28-2004 09:17 PM

it costs something like $20k just for the shitty pyro's at the start of shows. Im guessing including salaries about $250m outgoings.

PureHatred 03-29-2004 01:51 AM

Well, according to Yahoo Finance, the WWE's annual operating cost for the financial year ending in April 2003 were over $109 million.

Xen0ciDe 03-29-2004 05:52 AM

XFL... that was sooo bad.

The Naitch 04-01-2004 07:56 PM

they waste money on the space JR sits in. Ie. the chair

This doesn't even cover the stunts WWE do, eg crashing limos, pyros, dropping cars from cranes...

ilt_undertaker 04-02-2004 10:55 PM

Damn people, leave me alone with the cost thing

CBright7831 04-05-2004 06:05 PM

Alot of wrestler do drink alot of coffee. Austin, Benoit, Flair, and apparently Vince does also. Imagine what Foldgers makes off the WWE alone.

OssMan 04-05-2004 08:59 PM

I believe they spend over $100,000 for Pyro each show.

I'd be shocked if it was that much and not much shocks me with that company.

The Mackem 04-06-2004 04:03 PM

Don't worry Rob, fireworks shock a lot of people.

Rob 04-06-2004 04:14 PM
