Wrestling Reality Show to air on TLC

TLC began airing commercials this week for the 1/22 premiere of "The Bussey Bunch" a reality series that will follow the lives of The Bussey family, who promote Arlington, Texas based independent Professional Championship Wrestling.

The series' first two episodes will air at 9 PM and 9:30 PM Eastern, respectively. A total of 12 half hour episodes are scheduled to run.

The blurb for "The Bussey Bunch" notes, "The series follows a Texas family as they run a premier wrestling league that is poised to replicate the success of the McMahons with the WWE."

If it was just about the wrestling I'd want to watch. I really don't give a crap about what the family does at dinner every Wednesday. I hate reality shows. I bet it's more scripted than Smackdown.

The only wrestling reality show I will ever give a chance is a new Tough Enough. Call me someone who lives in the past, but Tough Enough was good, especially the first one.

The "Bussey Bunch"? Let me guess, the kid's names are Greg, Peter, Bobby, Marcia, Jan and Cindy?

Actually, it's Mike, Carol and Alice.

All these freaks are poised to do is shatter any progress Vince McMahon might have made over the years towards proving that wrestlers and wrestling fans are anything but a bunch of ignorant, unwashed hicks.
