Hey nice to see Debra not being a gold digger...

Debra is auctioning off the wedding ring given to her by Steve Austin on eBay. The bidding starts at $20,000 US!
Someone actually placed a bid on it. If ya want to see it, its item #2695004014.

It says a portion of the money goes to charity.

Yea like $25.

Kane Knight 03-08-2004 10:33 PM

The first bid was 20K.

Reserve hasn't been met yet, at 20K600...

Kane Knight 03-08-2004 10:33 PM

Just imagine how much the reserve will end up being...:|

Let's see.

The current bid is $20,600. And the reserve hasn't been met yet.

I wonder... :wtf:

Rock Bottom 03-08-2004 11:34 PM

No no, the money is going to boob-cloning technology.

Corkscrewed 03-09-2004 12:02 AM

 Funny stuff. Well, it's still better than Jim Duggan.

KingofOldSchool 03-09-2004 01:04 AM

Hey!

Duggan's tights helped me make a perfect outfit for my Great Dane.

Iceman90 03-09-2004 01:20 AM

Actually, the charity that she is sending the money too is a good cause.

It says on the page which one it is.

Kane Knight 03-09-2004 01:41 AM

"A portion of the proceeds of this sale will benefit SafePlace, a non profit organization against domestic violence."

21K and not met.

Evolution 03-09-2004 05:16 AM

I agree.. but he went through rehab that part of his life is gone...

Lamuella 03-09-2004 09:12 AM

over $21,000 now.

Kind of morbid thing to buy though

The Naitch 03-09-2004 12:22 PM

Debra deserves to be stunnered. I'd pay more to see that than pay for the ring.

A morbid thing to buy, but you know that there are some people who'll try and snatch it up...

People buy some macabre shit...

You should see some of the Freddie Mercury "memorabillia" that has been advertised.

Kane Knight 03-09-2004 01:00 PM

You deserve to have your ass kicked...

WTF, I don't get it... I don't know the woman personally, but Steve did abuse her, yet everyone on here seems to feel it was her fault?

I don't get it...

Why not sell the ring, make some money and make money for charity.

I just want to know if Debra was your sister or mother or daughter, how many of you would find this so funny and find Debra in the wrong.

The Naitch 03-09-2004 01:18 PM

^^^stunner to you too

I for one DIDN'T say whether it was her fault or not, I also know she says she's going to donate some to charity... But I'm just saying with the choice of charity and item to raise money from send a message and that's the message I got from it.

Ahhhh...Leave it to VEL to make up an argument.

Yes, everyone is saying that it's her fault.

Just seems a lot of people are quick to jump on her case, when she was the one beaten...

I don't see how it's a cheap shot... I mean, she was abused and now she's doing something that will raise some money.

Again, just seems some people (could be an age thing) are so blown away by their "TV HERO SCSA" they don't see the real life situation, of a big, strong, male "athlete" abusing a woman.

I'm not saying she doesn't have an "agenda" I'm sure she does, and it wouldn't shock me if she's getting 50-75% of the money, but that being said... can't say I blame her, nor would I call her a gold digger for doing it. The ring of her X-husband who beat her... would some rather she wore it? or kept it in the sock drawer?

Kane Knight 03-09-2004 01:47 PM

Yes, because we were all witnesses to her domestic abuse.

Isn't it convenient how VEL only pulls the "I can't see Kane Knight's posts" deal when I directly respond to him? Got a feeling someone's peaking...

Ok, show me the proof that she was abused then.

Works for me, charged, turns self in, pleeds no contest, gets "one year probation, fined $1000, ordered to attend a domestic violence counseling course, and directed to perform 80 hours of community service."

Charged based on what Debra claimed, turned self in because that's the smart thing to do when there is a warrant out on you. And you realize that pleading "no contest" is not an admission of guilt (that's why they have "guilty" pleas,) it's a way of saying "whatever, I don't feel like dealing with this, do what you want." Meaning that he was never found guilty of spousal abuse. And then in accordance with the judgment, he paid the fine, attended the course, and performed the community service. I've never heard a direct admission of guilt from him, nor been presented with any real evidence that he did what she says he did. I try to beleive in "innocent until proven guilty," and nobody has ever proven the guy guilty in my eyes.

Kane Knight 03-09-2004 10:28 PM

Why would Austin plead No Contest? Let's see, a redneck wrestler with a history of drinking is accused by his frail belle of being abusive...Sympathy might go with the woman normally, without factoring in the whole wrestling image...

No contest doesn't necessarily mean "I don't wanna fight this," but a similar notion of "I don't think I'm going to win, so I'm not going to bother wasting my time and money. On the other hand, I don't want to plead guilty (either because of my image, or because I'm really innocent), so I'll take middle ground." No Contest generally yields a less harsh sentence than a straight guilty plea will cop.

So yeah, absolutely no reason for an innocent man to plead no contest..
