Christian music

Has there ever been any good Christian artists besides Sufjan Stevens?

I listened to Entertaining Angels by Newsboys, and parts of it were bearable, although eh.

Carmen (Carman?) has won a few awards and made popular charts with his albums / singles.

Kalyx triaD 01-11-2008 05:32 PM

Skillet, Matt Redman, and Walking Dead are the shit. Though I dare you to find Walking Dead these days.

Flyleaf, who I've grown to like after hearing them in Rock Band and GH3, seems okay. But they're more a band who happens to be Christian than a Christian-group.

Kane Knight 01-11-2008 05:38 PM

Evanescence. :shifty:

Gary Cherone is very much Christian, does Tribe of Judah count? It's even preachy as fuck if you need that to count as Christian!

Kalyx triaD 01-11-2008 05:44 PM

...Creed...

RP 01-12-2008 09:17 AM

Indifferent Clox 01-12-2008 05:11 PM

I will check out some of these bands and get back to you on how I feel about them.

The Mask 01-13-2008 12:49 AM

i'm not big on christian rock. songs about Jesus/God, whatever, i can like them no problem. basing a whole genre around it is shit though.

blidnside are okay though... think one was called pitiful. stumbled across it by accident when trying to predownload st anger back in the day.

El Vaquero de Infierno 01-13-2008 09:36 AM

IF Casey wasn't Christian, I'd be more than happy to change that by making her have a reason to call ME God. :naughty:

Thank you. I was starting to feel bad about having a really bad urge to shag her. Her voice is sexually inducing.

Yeah.

Can't say as I remember any other their songs at this moment, but they seemed to be a big thing for a short period of time.

Indifferent Clox 01-15-2008 07:21 PM

Paramore is kind of awesome.

WestNZ 01-17-2008 01:52 AM

i dont know much about international bands, but there is a great christian rock band from New Zealand called Barak Zamar, they are wicked

DaveWadding 01-19-2008 06:53 PM

Isnt that bitch from Flyleaf named Lacey?

Kane Knight 01-19-2008 07:09 PM

Do they need to know her name? It's not like they're even listening to her...Just jerking off to the cover art.
