Christian Bale's best role?
 

The Batman is an obvious choice but I think his best work was in American psycho.

Im gonna add 3:10 to Yuma to it because that is just one bad ass movie.

I've never seen the Machinist, so I'm gonna go with American Psycho.

The Machinist was nowhere as good as AP and Batman. Go fuck yourselves. Hard.

Its a given Bale IS Batman, and it is his best role. But to give a different answer, I'll go with American Psycho. Also he was great in The Prestige. Bale in ANY role kicks ass.

American Psycho. Born to play Bateman.

Equilibrium's my favorite on that list and first one I've seen of his but I'd have to say The Machinist because he practically starved himself. It looked like he was going to break or disappear into thin air. I need to download New World with him and Colin Farrel and see how he is in that.

tbh he is the man for going from having probably the best male body ever in american psycho, to the state he was in for the machinist to the bulky bastard he is in batman.

He is good in all of his movies but i will agree with alot of you and say american psycho

I think those who picked American Psycho were influenced by his naked buttocks in said movie.

I heard a quote somewhere saying Equilibrium was a better movie than the matrix. I laughed at first but as time went on I've come to totally agree with the statement made.

Yeah I liked the story and Bale in the fighting scenes with the sword and gun-kata was awesome. Imagine if he was in the Matrix instead of Keanu Reeves.

Agreed but only matrix 1. for some reason people say that the second and third matrix sucked so I would not want to see Bale's stellar career suffer due to the perceptions

American Psycho easily, there's not one second on screen you don't doubt he's a complete lunatic. "Sabrina don't just stare at it, EAT IT!"

I saw The New World. Christian is only in the last 3/5ths of the movie but does a better job than Colin Farrell. Not a very exciting or thought provoking movie though.

I would have sex with Christian Bale, would admit it to my friends, and still be comfortable with my heterosexuality. The man is amazing. I don't know if it can be considered the best acting from a technical standpoint, but what he's done for The Machinist and Rescue Dawn has been fucking sick.

Picking between his roles is so hard, because he's so fucking great. It's my belief he should run for President. He would also be the best choice for a Bruce Banner.

American Psycho and Batman mos def..

His mockney accent in the Prestige is terrible.

I'd go with American Pyscho. I'd be hard pressed to find a better actor to fill that role.

I have only seen Batman and American Psycho, so in that case I think that his best work was in American Psycho. I just feel that no one else could've played Bateman that well.
