drop kick or Dropkick

If you could go to a local wrestling event or a rugby game which would you go to?
Also what the hell is the difference between rugby league and rugby union?

and Wikipedia did not explain to me the rules of rugby very well at all.

Y2C 01-20-2008 06:58 PM

Rugby Union.

In League you're allowed 5 tackles, don't have those line-out throws and a try/conversion/penalty/drop-goal is worth 4/2/2/1 compared to 5/2/3/3. Despite that Union's probably more popular on a world scale than League, it's more boring to watch because half the game is kick-to-kick.

Also, in recent times Union has been further butchered by the poms because they found a way of winning by kicking arsey field goals instead of trying to score a try.

LOL so strategy has ruined it for ya?

If you don't know anything about the game, shut the fuck up and listen to those who know what they are talking about. Even if Y2C is a little mislead about the league/union thing, he's right on the money with the poms.

Indifferent Clox 01-21-2008 03:10 AM

I was just joking.

Bad Company don't make me feel so sad inside my heart right now because it hurts when you say mean things like that to me and to be honest i want to see how long i can make this sentence because at the end I know there is gonna be a sad face unless I can turn this into a happy sentence about puppies that are really cute and not about the despair that eats in my very soul right now unlike puppies that warm my soul with their cute little eyes.

I love puppies.

Bad Company 01-21-2008 03:28 AM

Cheer up. I just take my rugby very seriously :p

Indifferent Clox 01-21-2008 03:58 AM

Can you reach down there and get my heart of the god damn floor please?

Bad Company 01-21-2008 04:19 AM

Don't push it :D

Indifferent Clox 01-21-2008 04:40 AM

Stickman 01-21-2008 03:12 PM

Union or League, whichever plays real rugby is the goods, the other is shit.

Downunder 01-22-2008 09:06 AM

Rugby Union is the game they play in Heaven

League is played by Maoris and bogans

Y2C 01-24-2008 10:08 PM

It's practically impossible to win a game of Rugby League without scoring a try. End of story.

Union is best, cos those league poofters have to take a break every tackle

Team Sheep 02-01-2008 10:56 AM

Rugby League is too one dimentional for me. No rucks, no mauls, no real scrums, no real line outs. And is it just me but are the goal kickers in league really bad? They seem to miss almost every conversion. Dunno if that has something to do with the different shape of the ball or anything but whatever. League is still a lot of fun to watch, but Union has more in it for me.

Six Nations tomorrow :D

NeanderCarl 02-03-2008 10:50 AM

Union > League.

Saying that, I'd make an informed decision in the whole wrestling show vs rugby game depending on which teams are playing the rugby, or who's on the wrestling card.

Indifferent Clox 05-18-2008 12:05 AM

Where might I watch some rugby right now? I'm so interested. I would really appreciate a rugby video were the refs explain the rules to me whilst I watch it. Like maybe a rugby for kids video.

Team Sheep 05-18-2008 12:47 PM

The season is just ending in the northern hemisphere. But there is the Heineken Cup final this Saturday (which is the European championship final of rugby, I'm going :D) that promises to be an awesome game with Munster v Toulouse. I guess it's in season in the Southern Hemisphere, so try and check that out. I'm not really knowledgable on stuff down there though. Bad Company could help you out I'm sure :D.

If you had one of the Rugby video games, there's a great Rugby 101 video, basically explaining the complete rules of rugby to a total beginner. Dunno if that's online or anything though. You could probably find something similar.
