One of the top WWE Creative members is gone.

And unfortunately it's not Steph.

http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/....asp?aID=21927

David Lagana, who was on the ECW writing crew after a run as head writer of Smackdown, was let go today by WWE. No reasons were given. Lagana, who was a big wrestling fan before being hired, had been with the company since early 2002.

Wonder what this means for the future.

Probably nothing.

KingofOldSchool 01-25-2008 09:41 PM

Just another spot open for one of the writers of Zoey 101.

Kane Knight 01-25-2008 09:55 PM

Is that Nick or Disney?

Very surprising news. I thought Lagana would be mainstay for a long time to come. Maybe this is good news for the WWE and ECW.

Mr. Nerfect 01-25-2008 11:31 PM

Inno, you need to include that in any thread like this from now on.

When Russo eventually pisses off someone who feeds him in TNA, I demand this video every second post, at least.

Speaking of which, with TNA often picking up ex-WWE talent, regardless of their worth, I'm sort of hoping that Dave Lagaga gets signed, and Russo is bumped.

Jury is out on the CREATIVE part.

FourFifty 01-26-2008 02:20 AM

I am repping everyone in this thread to celebrate since I can't buy all of you a round of drinks!

The Lone Wolf 01-26-2008 02:42 AM

i always thought he was one of the better writers that they had and i will be curious to see a reason.

The Optimist 01-26-2008 02:50 AM

Honorary Globetrotter you say?

Really though, did he write anything I would remember?

..........You just broke even in my book. On one hand you have a Hayabusa avatar, which is cool. On the other hand, Lagna was one of your fav writers..........

Indifferent Clox 01-26-2008 04:26 AM

Which angles did this guy come up with?

valid point

Xero 01-26-2008 01:59 PM

From PWInsider, if you weeeeel:

The word I am getting is that Dusty Rhodes will take over at the head of ECW creative for the departed David Lagana. Given the recent ECW product, that can be nothing but a huge step up. To be fair, you can't completely blame Lagana for a WWE product but as the head man of ECW, he did have a degree of control and responsibility for the product so he needs to take his lumps for the state of the brand.

Londoner 01-26-2008 02:04 PM

Dusty being there could be good.

Destor 01-26-2008 02:06 PM

honest question:

What are the expectations of the ECW brand? With that roster, I mean really, what do they want from it?

KingofOldSchool 01-26-2008 02:09 PM

Dusty needs to start calling ECW the "Muthaship."

He should bring Cody in and start a tag team with him called "Mah Thun and Me".

They could even do skits where it's like a 1970's sitcom.
