I found this video on You Tube of Michaels vs. Edge at (what I assume to be) a MSG House Show in 2005:

Michaels seems to be wearing his classic red heart HBK tights. Has he worn these at all on TV since his return in 2002?

I can recall seeing him wear those on a couple of occasions against both HHH & Naitch and since I just got done watching WrestleMania XX I know he wore them then.

Isn't that what he wore originally after his comeback, before realizing he wasn't that young anymore and switched to what he now wears?

Nah his first match back he wore jeans and then his next few matches back (2 out of 3 falls v HHH, Elimination Chamber) he wore crappy brown tights.
