Has any wrestler ever been hated as much as cena?
 

Maybe some of you old timers will know. I seriously can't think of anybody baring maybe Michaels after Montreal

People have hated HHH far more than Cena. And back in the 80s and before, wrestlers got death threats (heels mostly.) Cena may be the most hated face, but there's no way he's the most hated wrestler ever.

That was real hate. He was Cena in the 90's, with the exception that he didn't appeal to 15 year old girls either.

I remember Slaughter saying that when he turned against America he was getting death threats and was stabbed by some fan.

I didn't know he was stabbed, but I know he got death threats for his anti-American rhetoric and that at one point the WWE hired armed guards to protect Slaughter's family after someone threatened to blow up Slaughter's home!

It's hard to measure hate. I mean, most of the guys who were assaulted and the like were done in an era where a lot of morons still bought into wrestling as real. And they were heels.

Cena is not only a face, but he is THE face, and he's getting a shitload of hate. That's pretty phenomenal, and fairly unusual.

I think Cena might be the most hated FACE in history. Definitely not the most hated period.

I don't think hated is the right word. Is he the most rejected example of a main event the WWE has tried to shove down our throats? That would probably be a yes.
