Why is Chavo the ECW Champion?

Chavo is a terrific/entertaining mid-card talent, thus he is perfect for what WWE wants out of their ECW World Champion. He also fit snugly into the whole Edge-Vickie monstrosity/angle.

Chavo is the man. He deserves the ECW Title, and hopefully the storyline he's in now will push him even further up the card. (I was hoping his rivalry with Eddie back in Janury 2004 would put him in the main event along with his uncle... oh well).

Chavo Guerrero is fucking awesome. I love him, and I'm glad he's holding gold that can kind of, sort of, be considered a World Championship.

I don't care who laughs at me, Chavo Guerrero is a World Champion to me.

Wow, Chavo with Hair. Been awhile since I remember that.

It’s because Edge, Vickie, and Chavo all consider each other “familia” now, and so thus, when Punk had to defend his belt on ECW against Chavo about 2 weeks ago, Edge came in and speared Punk to lift Chavo to the ECW crown.

To my knowledge only once, good sir. :o (But don’t quote me on that, there’s a marginal possibility I’m wrong.)

Edge was responsible for RVD winning the ECW belt when he speared Cena through a table (kinda).

He also helped Chavo win it.

Twice

Twice in the HUGE history of the WWECW title. So, if we're coutning the first win over Cena, when the title came into existence, that's about six title changes. Really, it's sort of funny that he's had so much to do with ECW in it's almost two years.

Cena loses to RVD
RVD loses to Big Show
Big Show loses to Lashley
Lashley's title gets defaulted when he goes to Raw
Johnny Nitro wins the tournament when Benoit doesn't show up
Nitro loses to Punk
Punk loses to Chavo

Unless I'm missing something. I guess that illustrates how much the ECW championship means.
