Reminds me of a band I picked up from CD Baby called "Envy." This is not a bad thing, by the way. Nice stuff.

Any man who speaks German CAN'T be evil

Any particular genre? Inkubus Sukkubus is a symphonic-ish Pagan rock band, but alot of their songs sound the same--those that stand out stand out real well, though. They also do a mean cover of Paint It Black.

I don't think Switchblade Symphony are actually intended to be goth, but they end up coming off that way and having that sort of fanbase.

Razed in Black is always an option.

I know I'm forgetting something major, but fuck if I can remember. I'll probably recall it later.

For the record, Evanescence is Lacuna Coil without all the good.

El Vaquero de Infierno 02-07-2008 09:45 AM

Rasputina's first album, "Thanks for the Ether."

Kane Knight 02-07-2008 10:33 AM

I've DL'ed Rasputina's stuff before. I may buy some albums through eMusic.

El Vaquero de Infierno 02-07-2008 02:04 PM

Damn right you will, KK, daaaaamn right you will. :)

Kane Knight 02-07-2008 09:10 PM

I just purchased all three of the albums up on eMusic. Track 2 on Frustration Plantation isn't available though, which is fucked up.

Jon Kano 02-08-2008 12:02 AM

Interpol

Pioneer to the Falls is a friggin must though

El Fangel 02-08-2008 01:07 AM

Volitaire.

.44 Magdalene 02-08-2008 06:12 AM

Maybe I missed something, but how the fuck are Interpol goth?

Oh Perilous World, Frustration Plantation, Cabin Fever.

El Vaquero de Infierno 02-08-2008 08:57 AM

"Thanks for the Ether" and "How we Quit the forest" are far better albums. But Frustration Plantation is pretty decent. Oh Perilous World isn't really goth though.

Kane Knight 02-08-2008 08:59 AM

Yeah, they don't have those.

El Vaquero de Infierno 02-08-2008 09:19 AM

emusic is obviously shite, and must be destroyed! I will set about on achieving this.

Kane Knight 02-08-2008 09:52 AM

I'll probably just buy the other records from an actual store. I just like the convenience of eMusic.

I don't really know what subgenre means what. They're often silly and artificial. See the whole "Post Rock" thing. I'm primarily a fan of Type O Negative and Bauhaus, if it helps.
