Free music from Toilet George

Hey Metallica, why don't you rich cun</>ts try this!!!

I'm not a fan of George Michael, but you gotta respect they guy for doing this - let's face it, how much money do people really need:

George Michael free on the Net

AFP - British singer George Michael said he was retiring from the music business and intended instead to put all his future songs on the Internet - for free.

The 40-year-old pop star told BBC radio he would never make another album for sale in record shops, because he did not need the money and wanted to be less famous.

Michael is currently promoting his latest album Patience, but revealed it would be his last.

"I think it's going to be my last commercial promoted release. I've been very well remunerated for my talents over the years so I really don't need the public's money," he said.

Now, he added, he would "really like to have something on the internet with charitable donation optional, where anyone can download my music for free".

"Believe me, in the modern world if you take yourself out of the financial aspect of things, ie. if you're not in anybody's chart, you're not making anybody any money, you're not losing anybody any money, believe me, I'll be of very little interest to the press in a certain number of years.

"I'll hopefully be a happier man."

Yeah I heard about this yesterday. It's a decent thing to do (the charity side of it I mean) but I honestly can't see too many others following in his footsteps.

Yeah I doubt it will catch on. But credit to George, for not being a greedy bastard.

Yeah, I mean if he cant even get one guy to follow him into a restroom for gay sex, how's he gonna convince musicians to give up the corporation? :shifty:

Would I know George Michael from anything?

Kane Knight 03-11-2004 10:48 PM

He was that guy from WAM!

He also did a ton of songs that people know.

Can't seem to name any right now tho.

And its pretty good of him. :y: though it doesn't really affect me as i'm not really a big fan of his.

Good luck to him,he wasn't exactly producing things that i would personally listen to but he's done a lot for the industry and it's good to see him give something back in a way.

"wake me up before you go-go
don't leave me hanging round like a yoyo..."

Ladies and gentlemen, we've finally found a song I'm embarrassed to know...

Could be worse. At least it wasn't a uniformed cop...

Though then, he could have argued the "Village People" defense.
