WWE reported this evening that Ret Mysterio had suffered a biceps injury last night in Santiago, Chile and has been sent back to the United States to meet with Dr. James Andrews to determine the extent of the injury. WWE is teasing that Mysterio will still compete at the No Way Out PPV this weekend, but obviously, nothing is set in stone at this time.

Already posted about this in the news forum. Why oh why have they gone on tour right before a fucking ppv.

If he's on the shelf, who will face Edge at No Way Out? My money's on Kane. He's high enough on the totem pole, and in the fans eyes, to be one half of a PPV title match, but low enough to take a dispensible loss without affecting anything.

illd go for kane, but how would they decide who gets the shot? They would have to make it as though vickies still injured and have teddy long shock edge by announcing kane is his opponent. then edge will win by count out or something stupid.

If it is Kane, Edge will go over. Quite possibly clean. I'm assuming an Edge vs Undertaker match at WrestleMania as it stands, and what better way to further their personal issues than Edge beating and then maybe destroying Kane after the match at the PPV?

Well, yeah, if that is the direction they are ehaded, then Kane makes more sense as Edge's opponent than Mysterio, injury or not. Make the best of a bad situation, they should certainly give Kane the shot at the title if Rey is out of action.

Sure, why not? They've already damaged WrestleMania's credibility by having Cena clearly not give a shit about being in the main event. Why not kill the SmackDown match too??

Hell, put the strap on Taker, rewrite a bit of history, and pretend the 16-0 streak was at No Way Out, not WrestleMania, all along! Then have him job to Khali next month, and we'll say Khali is 20-0 at WrestleMania. (The other 18 wins came in untelevised dark matches, see?)

Kane is the logical choice whenever a jobber to the stars is required. They could pull a 'Johnny Nitro' and have a midcarder as shock value.

I could see Undertaker winning the Elimination Chamber in the first half of the show. Then, before Edge vs. Mysterio, Edge just brutally attacks Rey during his entrance (chairshots, table spot maybe). As Rey is all bloody and whatnot, he rolls him into the ring, and the ref reluctantly rings the bell. Edge toys with Mysterio for about a minute until he finally Spears him for the cheap win.

After the match, Rey is taken out on a stretcher out-cold (pretty much written off), and Edge gets on the mic: "That's what happens when you mess with another man's woman, etc etc"

Lights go out and Taker is behind him, and the two go at it in a preview to Mania in a 2 or 3 minute brawl until the numbers game catches up to Taker, and the EdgeHeads and Edge bloody up Taker and leave him laying in the ring to end the segment.

I know Edge needs a strong win before Mania, but taking out Rey and Taker in one night is pretty good too.
