I now know where they got the Festus angle from.

Keenan and Kel

Was watching episode this morning on The N where Kel was hypnotized into becoming an aggressive monster whenever he heard a bell.

A mild-mannered doofus who becomes a crazed monster after hearing a bell.

Hmmmm Vince must REALLY be behind the times.

Next thing you know, Colt Cabana will debut and will have a gimmick where he has an obsession for orange soda.

I can see Colt making that entertaining

JBL beating up a bottle of orange soda while Colt his handcuffed, screaming to take it out on him and not the soda?

Xero 02-19-2008 01:04 PM

Is it true?

FourFifty 02-19-2008 01:36 PM

I thought it was based off of some people from the book Of Mice And Men.

I thought since they were interested in Delirious a few months back they decided to take someone from OVW/FCW and put there own little spin on a character of Delirious's nature.

Yeah, that's what I always thought.

Why were you watching Keenan and Kel?

Anyway, I was gonna say this has been done to death, meaning it could have come from any one of a number of sources. Then I remembered that this is WWE, so they probably stole it deliberately from Nick.

Vastardikai 02-19-2008 08:32 PM

I thought that was inspired by the Three Stooges...

Early in the morning and there was nothing else on and I needed background noise while I got ready.

I thought it was more off "My name is Earl" really...

Randy!

This was brought to my attention, and I thought it may have been accurate.

However, given the WWE writers, it coming down to a choice between another wrestler's gimmick and a Nickelodeon show, I think I'd place my house that they stole it from Nick.

Yeah. Didnt they hire some writers from Nick too?

That's what was going through my mind, and why I think they are probably more familiar with Nick shows than wrestling shows.

In fact, one of them probably wrote the episode of Keenan and Kel to which KoOS is referring.
