Computer Noise

Lately, my computer has been making a whirring/gentle grinding noise, usually when it's doing something.

The first time I heard it was during a large crash, that required me to start in safe mode once afterwards.

Any advice?

It's probably the hard drive getting old. You should back up your stuff just in case.

I forgot to mention, the computer is only a month old.

Likely one of your fans, after my comp crashes my fans become really loud (spin alot faster) then they normally do, its stops after a bit, or when I shut down and restart normally.

I shifted some of the internal wires around, and I've heard nothing since.

I cleaned mine the other day and ever since it has made an annoying buzzing noise, it's not the fan, as I have checked that, but there is a vibration through the motherboard. And I think it is coming from the power source. Dunno what I've done, but I can't get rid of it.

BTW belting it really hard on the top just makes it re-boot :D

Hmm... If it was anything related to the power, I've noticed a lack of noise since I moved the computer to a different house.

Also, now I'm getting a loud buzzing sound coming from the keyboard instead.

Yo momma needs a new fan.

In an interesting twist... Whenever I move the keyboard, the noise stops.

Okay... When I have the keyboard flat, there's no noise.... But when I want it tilted, there is noise.

your vibrator is on and trapped under the keyboard.

I wondered where that had got to.
