I don't get it...maybe there is a Maiden fan that can properly explain this to me, but I really don't see the hate for the song. I mean...it's not the GREATEST Maiden song (I can think of 10-12 better right off hand) but I mean, it's well written, has awesome parts (esp. the drums) and tells a good story. IT's probably the most overplayed Maiden song there is (and that might be the answer right there) but I don't get the vitriol for it in general...

Its a great song, but the fact that the Maori radio station over here use it as a political statement os to the way they were treated in the past has taken the shine off the song for me.

I could think of about 30, but thats only cos i have the full Iron MAiden catalogue here, and that 6 disc special they released in a steel box as well.

Not gonna lie, I only like a few Iron Maiden songs (Mother Russia primarily). But when I heard this song over the radio, I just could not recognize who the fuck was singing it. Its so wrong. On a side note, I wear my Iron Maiden swimsuit when I lifeguard :D

I must agree with David, its probably one of their biggest songs played on the radio but they have MANY that are better than this.
