Video suicide for Britney

The UK's current queen of pop Britney Spears is set to shock fans yet again with a new video in which she commits suicide in the bath.

In the promo for 'Everytime', directed by controversial photographer David LaChappelle, Britney escapes a mob of baying paparazzi, only to have a booze-fuelled argument with a boyfriend.

She is then depicted slipping under the water in a bath with an open bottle of pills beside her. As the boyfriend attempts to revive her, a second, 'new' Britney walks out of the hotel.

The former squeaky-clean pop princess, who is at No.1 in the charts with her single Toxic, has had a controversial past year - which saw her briefly marry a childhood friend in Las Vegas, break down in tears in a live TV interview and allegedly engage in drunken nightclub visits.

The video is seen by many as an ironic sideswipe by Britney to what others perceive as her 'unstable' state.

Believe it or not, turning off the TV or changing the radio station is <b>not</b> the end of the world.

The last time I heard a Britney song was in high school. It's just hilarious to see a bunch of horny teenagers get all huffed up when someone slanders their wanking idol. Besides, it's hard to even remotely consider her as apart of the music industry when she most likely doesn't even have session musicians, just some nerd bent over a computer and a synthesizer. Show me a Britney Spears video and I'll show you karaoke at a titty bar.

Man the last I heard of Brittney was that video when she was in that red space suit...and that was cause I was stuck in a room without a remote cause someone else had it and would not let me get up to change the channel.

I still listen to the radio, but it's not hard to avoid the stations that play boy/girl band music 24/7. I don't bother with MTV/VH1. Too much shit on them. I'm sure there are a couple good groups/groups I like on 'em, but not enough to merit me actually sifting through the shit.

The other thing I do on cable is listen to the digital music channels. They have like 50 or so channels, and each one is pretty thematic. Though I do wonder when Trust Co and Linkin Park became "rock."
