Christy Hemme - "Gangster Grunt"
 

According to Wikipedia, Christy Hemme used "Gangster Grunt", a (presumably) production piece, before she used "Walk Idiot Walk" in WWE. My question is... when the fuck was this? I was watching the entrance in every possible match of hers on YouTube and they all used "Walk Idiot Walk".

I thought she used the Hives from the start as that was the tune of the Diva Search for that year

Okay, I figured it out. It was used to dub over "Walk Idiot Walk" on WWE DVDs.

They dubbed over on DVDs? Fuuuuck.

You're joking, right? They dubbed over Taker's "Rollin'" theme, Slick's "Jive Soul Bro" theme, Big Boss Man's "Hard Time" theme, and even Taka Michinoku's "Yamato Suite No. 4" (Kaientai) theme. Some of them I can't understand. Like why Slick's and Boss Man's? :shrug:

Yeah, I know they've dubbed over a lot of themes, but given the releases were so close, WWE had licensed the music for so long, and CLEARLY had a license that applied to multiple media, this one actually surprises me. It's not like we're talking about some anthology ten years from now where the license only applied to their live show.

My intitial post was missing a word, too. I meant to talk specifically about editing her song, but it does look kind of vague without "it" before "on."
