Where is the Mean Street Posse when you need them?

According to PWInsider.com, one wrestler said that Mayweather's crew, "Got their asses handed to them." Another wrestler mentioned that, "The company was 10-seconds away from having a legit beat down take place on TV." Shane McMahon was knocked down during the brawl, and afterwards there was a lot of tension between the two sides
And then an account from someone in attendance last night.

I was at the show in Milwaukee and this is what happened. Big Show tossed Floyd Mayweather out the ring and the WWE guys caught him on the outside. This prompted Floyd's crew to come over and get their boy out of harms way, but some of the crew were trying to punk out the WWE guys by being pretty stiff with shoving matches. Some of the WWE guys took exception to this. Floyd's crew proceeded up the ramp and Shane McMahon was trying to get them out of their while the WWE guys were at the end of the ramp. Shane McMahon got shoved pretty hard which sent him flying down the ramp.

Now this is what i can tell you that they didn't show you on RAW, after Shane got shoved to the ground Bob Holly took some legit swings at Floyd's crew. Luckily for them Chuck Palumbo, Trevor Murdoch and a couple WWE guys tryed to get in between them. One of Floyd's guys, the one with the black cut-off tee fell behind and started walking up the ramp with the WWE guys. This prompted the WWE guys to shove the guy up the ramp. It looked like Super Crazy almost got knocked over in the brawl with Snitsky doing most of the shoving.

You could really tell their was tension between Floyd's crew and the WWE guys. They caught some of it on tape, but seeing it live you could tell that there was some major heat between each side.
Shane O' Mac needs to call up Pete Gas, Joey Abs, Rodney, and Pete.

Everyday someone's gotta pay.

I thought something was "off" when I clearly heard someone (I assume on Mayweather's side) saying "this is bullshit".

I totally thought MSP was making an appearance when Show referenced having a Posse. Normally, I wouldn't have considered a midcard return highlight this close to Mania, but with Shane's involvement, it seemed rather possible.

Yeah, I heard that too.

The Optimist 03-11-2008 01:08 PM

Called it. Boosh.

TerranRich 03-11-2008 04:26 PM

Dammit, I spaced out when that whole thing happened, thinking it'd be just another kayfabe brawl. Anybody got video of it, so I can re-watch it?

Loose Cannon 03-11-2008 04:51 PM

I heard someone say to Shane "you alright" when he went down and it seemed more of a "oh shit, you alright" then as if he were saying it in character.

Suicidal Icon 03-11-2008 05:03 PM

Did anyone think his "posse" wouldn't act all tough at some point.

Good Ol JG 03-11-2008 07:04 PM

I thought the WWE guys looked awful protective of Shane. Well, this is exactly what WWE gets for bringing in a boxer with a bad attitude. They get his bad attitude posse too.

I can't wait until Mania is over and Mayweather is gone

RVDmark 03-11-2008 11:16 PM

So is Mayweather legit injured? I f**king hope so, he is useless and has no reason to be in WWE.

And as I think he is finding out, wrestling isn't quite as fake as he believes or would like to believe.

From his demeanor so far it seems as though he see's himself as better than WWE and its "fake" athletes. And he is there to show them up as weak guys who "fake" it. It would seem he is quickly learning otherwise. If he was legit hurt, he ran to the back like a pussy very fast, and if he was not actually injured, then he ran to the back very quickly, a bit of a wimp.

Being 100% honest here, I somewhat marked when I saw this go down. I just knew that no way in hell was it going as planned

I just watched that segment again because of this thread. If you turn the speakers up quite loud you can hear about 3 people say "this is bullshit" or "bullshit" quite close together. ALso it is Cawdy who helped up Shane, does he gain experience points for this?
Also at some point, one of the wrestlers says to Shane "see Shane, you're tougher than all of them"

A similar thing happened when Mayweather got introduced the first week and Shane was heard saying "It wasn't supposed to go down like that" afterwards. Was that a work or was that segment not quite as planned (besides Show's nose).

Big Show does look legit angry at Mayweather too at times, the emotion going into the programming is great, even if it was't planned.

I would still like video. Better video than the above. Doesn't show much.

Mr. Nerfect 03-12-2008 01:55 AM

Haha, fucking awesome. The only good that comes from this storyline is the adrenaline that comes from Floyd Mayweather breaking Big Show's nose, and Show looking like he really wanted to catch that bastard, and the tension between the groups.

Seriously, let them fucking go on television.

El Fangel 03-12-2008 02:21 AM

He is big but he sure is dumb.

I weigh more then 300 pounds more then you.

Big Show - 441
Mayweather - 159

Difference - 282

Haha, yeah, I picked up on that. I think Big Show still operates under the idea that he is meant to sell himself as being 7'0, 500lbs.

Another thing I noticed about the segment, was that Shane McMahon stressed that Big Show is the only man to be ECW Champion, "World Heavyweight Champion" and WWE Champion. Big Show used to be toted as having the WCW Championship on his resume, rather than the World Heavyweight Championship, you know, seeing as he never won the World Heavyweight Title.

I guess we know where Shane stands in the whole "is the World Heavyweight Title the WCW Title" debate.
