"ECW" Thread 3/11: Big Floppo Stretchmark ManBoobs vs. PUNK

WWE.com has learned that ECW General Manager Armando Estrada will make a major announcement regarding WrestleMania and the Land of the Extreme, live tonight on ECW on Sci Fi. What could the cunning ECW dictator have in store for his brand? How will his announcement affect the ECW Championship bearing "Mexican Warrior" and the entire sports-entertainment landscape?

WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz successfully defended their titles against Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney on the last ECW. Still, the duo of the ECW Original and the young Superstar proved to know the formula to defeating the WWE Tag Team Champions a week earlier. When they face the titleholders again next week, will they be able to come out on top? With the match being Extreme Rules, Dreamer & Delaney certainly have the advantage, thanks to Dreamer’s experience in the Land of the Extreme.

Speaking of titles, CM Punk failed to capture the ECW Championship from Chavo Guerrero last week. Despite the loss, the Straightedge Superstar is set to get back on-track toward championship gold this week as he competes in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match against Big Daddy V. The 500-pound human mountain also has dreams of reaching the top of the WWE mountain and achieving a World Title, making Money in the Bank an ideal opportunity. Can Punk surpass this vast challenge on ECW on Sci Fi? Or will the ladder scaling WrestleMania encounter secure its largest addition in the match's history?

ECW Original Stevie Richards was slowed down by the self-proclaimed “Gold Standard” of ECW, Shelton Benjamin. Will Richards get back on track and continue proving that he hasn’t lost a step since leaving the ring for throat surgery? Following an altercation after ECW on Sci Fi, Richards might be looking for vengeance the next time he steps into an arena to compete. It's hard to imagine payback isn’t on Stevie’s mind after being attacked by an angry ECW Superstar. Check out WWE Mobile for more on this ...

Find out the answers to all of these questions and more on the next ECW on Sci Fi, tonight at 10/9 CT.

ECW is in Chicago tonight...meaning Punk really doesn't have a chance

Jura 03-11-2008 09:51 PM

I'm sure u can find a better pic of a girl with a gun.

Porcupine 03-11-2008 09:57 PM

Obviously going to be Punk, but if I was running things, I would go with Big Daddy V for the pure hilarity of him climbing a ladder. Oh and the ladder breaks and then the MITB has no ladder and it becomes an unsolvable conundrum because now the wrestlers have to figure out how to get the briefcase with no ladder.

KingofOldSchool 03-11-2008 09:59 PM

"Wildcat" Chris Harris debuted against Shelton Benjamin in the dark match.

KingofOldSchool 03-11-2008 10:00 PM

Oh and Armando's announcement is in black.

24 man interpromotional battle royal at Wrestlemania where the winner faces Chavo immediately after.

They should give him a gimmick where he dresses up like a cat.

I'd mark.

KingofOldSchool 03-11-2008 10:04 PM

Okay, I corrected the spoiler.

Heros Welcome 03-11-2008 10:05 PM

Chi Town tonight? The Second City? Punks got no chance in hell

Ruien 03-11-2008 10:08 PM

So last time Punk was in Chicago, he faced Big Daddy V. This time he faces Big Daddy V. You would think in his hometown they would give him someone he can acually wrestle.

KingofOldSchool 03-11-2008 10:22 PM

lol well I guess I had Armando's announcement right the first time.

Innovator 03-11-2008 10:23 PM

Punk won't win, but if he does tonight, I wanna see Stevie win the battle royal

Rumor has it he was looking rather JBL-esque

KingofOldSchool 03-11-2008 10:33 PM

It was announced that Miz will face Morrison in a MITB qualifier match on Smackdown.

Is that the guy from WcW? Or am I way off? That dude was fn hilarious.

KingofOldSchool 03-11-2008 10:38 PM

Here is some news.

I guess they are NOT going to replace Jeff Hardy in MITB and will just go with seven guys.

DarKCentaur 03-11-2008 10:39 PM

You mean Ernest "The Cat" Miller?

Ruien 03-11-2008 10:40 PM

Whow ya I was way off. I still miss that guy.

Innovator 03-11-2008 10:41 PM

Well time to change the thread title

Innovator 03-11-2008 10:42 PM

Done.

Mr. Nerfect 03-11-2008 10:42 PM

They really should replace Jeff. Have Paul Burchill get in the match, or something. Fuck, even hold a Battle Royal and give the fluke victory to Paul London or something. He could die in the match and make it pretty memorable.

Also, isn't the Battle Royal to decide who challenges Chavo at WrestleMania? I'm thinking Kane will win and we'll get the title switch at WrestleMania. :y:

KingofOldSchool 03-11-2008 10:43 PM

What I find funny is if they only do 7 guys in MITB, as of right now there will only be two babyfaces in it.

I wish.

They didn't make MVP vs. Matt at Mania because according to them "They didn't have time to build up to a proper match."
