Is cut/paste suppose to be this slow?
 

From one HDD to another. Both are SATA 3.0, and the highest a job has peaked at has been 30mb/sec. Is this normal?

It could have to do with the specs of the HDDs (e.g. transferring from a 7200 RPM drive to a 5400 RPM drive). If one is slower than the other then the transfer speed might be slow, too.

That's all I can think of besides less than optimum motherboard settings, but I don't think it applies to HDDs.

Both are 7200 rpm's.


Well apparently I was wrong. My main drive is SATA 2, my storage one is 3. That's probably why.
