"This is my future endeavor? Shit"

KingofOldSchool 03-28-2008 12:23 AM

I'm Robbie and this is the only way I can get on a wrestling program.

LOOK RORY, I'M ON TV!

Mr. Nerfect 03-28-2008 12:27 AM

I honestly would not have known that was Robbie McCallister (yes, the WWE added a "C") if I hadn't read the news story on it.

dablackguy 03-28-2008 12:57 AM

Is he still working for the E?

If so, not for long...

It doesn't help that his tag team partner has been injured, which makes Robbie McCallister even less valuable than Headbanger Thrasher was. I wonder if Rory McCallister will find himself unemployed if Robbie does. This could end up being the most interesting thing that's happened to either men.

Both are solid talents, in my opinion, although it doesn't often show. They'd be far more interesting if they didn't have such an awful and limiting gimmick.

Heros Welcome 03-28-2008 01:34 AM

That pic is hilarious. Still hard to believe that my biggest reaction, next to seeing Sting again was..."Holy shit is that fuckin ROBBIE!?"

Or if wwe actually used the gimmick.

Afterlife 03-28-2008 06:34 AM

Rory's pec muscle ripped apart, so he's out on medical. That gives Robbie basically nthing to do, because he's the weak link in the rarely-used tag team. There's nothing FOR him to do there until his partner returns..

Xero 03-28-2008 09:11 AM

The Shadow Conspiracy acquires more evidence.

RP 03-28-2008 09:17 AM

thought this was a thread about Robbie Hummell

Well he doesn't have anything else to do right now, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was there as well.

RP 03-28-2008 09:23 AM

Better not be a NCAA violation though.

BigDaddyCool 03-28-2008 09:28 AM

So, home much longer till WWE.com wishes him well on future endeavorers?

Xero 03-28-2008 09:32 AM

It's a swerve! He's going to be put in the MITB and win it!

FourFifty 03-28-2008 09:33 AM

Someone else said it a few weeks ago, and I still think it'll work.
If WWE wants to use Robbie and help out the tag team scene they'd pair up Robbie with Drew Drew McIntyre. Pretty much a Scottish odd couple.

Afterlife 03-28-2008 10:15 AM

I like Drew. There's somethin' about him that makes me think he's going places -- if he sticks around. That's kind of a mixed metaphor, but you get the idea. I think hooking him up with the Highlanders could be a good way to pump the 3 of them to a decent mid card level beforw breaking it off.

Mr. JL 03-28-2008 12:20 PM

lol... I was wondering why there was camera time for this guy and thought he looked familiar.

Lock Jaw 03-28-2008 12:41 PM

Douche move by TNA. They probably cost this guy his job now.

Don't worry, he'll have a place on the TNA roster. He'll probably be their next main eventer, because, you know, WWE wrestlers, no matter how low on the totem pole, are better than TNA wrestlers.

A douche move would be if they don't offer him a contract.

McLegend 03-28-2008 05:37 PM

Nah either way this was a real dick move.

Stupid fuckin TNA.

Robbie was dumb for going...then again it was probably the only entertainment he could afford, TNA being free and all.

Dorkchop 03-28-2008 05:40 PM

Holy shit. I had no idea who that was. I just knew he worked for WWE. He didn't seem too happy that he was put on camera. He will be fired real soon. I don't agree with it, but that's just the WWE way. Besides, spring cleaning is just about to start.

BigDaddyCool 03-28-2008 05:42 PM

Truth be told, he was probably going to be let go during spring cleaning anyhow. All the highlanders are used for is jobbing in handycap matches.

Right so TNA should show him and point out that he is a wrestler for the WWE without his premission?

Yeah that makes sense.

BigDaddyCool 03-28-2008 05:53 PM

I see your point. But he runs the risk of that by going to TNA events. We are still talking about carnies here.

Xero 03-28-2008 06:23 PM

From PWInsider:

The word making the rounds down in Orlando is that Robbie McAllister was sent home today (which should surprise no one). When the company tells you to avoid TNA and you go to the show, well, you are asking to be sent home. It can be debated whether TNA was wrong to put him on TV last night but again if he hadn't gone, they wouldn't have had the chance to do so.

Owned.

Afterlife 03-28-2008 07:37 PM

Then again, maybe he's trying to get fired. And if that's the case, why not get a free show on the way out the door?

Lock Jaw 03-28-2008 07:40 PM

He should have worn a fake beard and mustache instead of a real one. No one would have known it was him.

Afterlife 03-28-2008 07:45 PM

Or a shirt that said "HE'S ROBBIE ----->"

Mr. Nerfect 03-28-2008 11:08 PM

I feel sorry for Robbie. A lot of people backstage are apparently upset about it, because his job with the WWE is now in jeopardy, and Robbie is the bread winner for his family. The reason Robbie was attending was to support his friend Johnny Devine, and see him wrestle.

If the WWE releases Robbie, TNA really should give the guy a contract. Have it as sort of a shoot character. "It's your fault I lost my other job, so I want a title match tonight." Sort of what they were doing with heel Eugene. "I'm special!" Only have Derrick Graham-Couch not play a retard. Maybe stick him with Johnny Devine as buddies, too. Even push him as a sympathetic face.

Xero 03-28-2008 11:10 PM

If he had gone in backstage (seriously doubt they'd turn him down) instead of going in the crowd he likely would have been fine.

JT 03-28-2008 11:46 PM

Now I'm pulling a Noid here with what I think should happen in the event Robbie is fired and TNA picks him up.

TNA should make a big deal of out him, like they do the other WWE superstars, and bring him to the ring for an interview or something with Jim Cornnett. However, instead of taking the usual "WWE sucks and TNA is where the action is" route, he should be original. Start talking about how TNA is nothing but a second rate promotion that cost him his dream job with the WWE, and he's there to take his revenge and try to prove why WWE should take him back. Finish it with attacking Cornett (powerbomb is my prefrence), and just become a monster heal trying to destory the company.

Granted TNA would screw it up, not to mention wouldn't be smart enough to do this storyline anyway, but that's my opinion.

JT 03-28-2008 11:49 PM

Crap, Noid already stated that idea...didn't really read his posts till this point.

Evil Vito 03-29-2008 12:37 AM

<font color=goldenrod>Not surprised he was sent home, he was likely to be released anyway.

What makes it even more harsh is that today is his birthday.</font> :o

TerranRich 03-29-2008 12:41 AM

WWE releases guys who are recovering from injuries sustained while working for them... you think they'd care about a birthday?

Afterlife 03-29-2008 09:49 AM

They told us when it was Vince's birthday.

Lock Jaw 03-29-2008 11:41 AM

*Vince hands Robbie a letter*
Vince: Happy Birthday!
*Robbie opens it and its a pink slip*
Robby: Hey, this isn't a birthday present!
Vince: Suuuuuure it is!
