3 questions....

1) Which match do you think they will interrupt?

2) How many fans out of the 70,000 there will start chanting "TNA! TNA!"

and

3) What's the over/under on amount of fans saying said chant?

Does this reek of desperation to anyone else?

I actually believe they will have a plane with Kurt Angle attached (flying behind like a banner) yelling "WATCH TNA IMPACT"

I wouldn't be surprised if they just had people handing out TNA tshirts to certain people though

It would probably be more disrupting to the WWE if they consistently had decent booking. You don't even need to rent a helicopter for that.

Do people not know that Vince McMahon controls his own TV and would never allow his camera crew to film a TNA banner on a plane on his biggest show of the year?

TNA in general reeks of desperation.

I am not sure how many times it would even be of concern that a camera is filming the sky during a match regardless of what was flying around.

I think with such a "strong" local fanbase, TNA is hoping to start some "TNA!" chants during the event. I actually wouldn't deem this completely out of the realm of plausability, considering the Playboy/Diva Tag match and the possibility of having to watch Mark Henry or Big Daddy V perform.

It is really fucking desperate and sad though. Maybe instead of spending money on this stupid stunt they could spend some money on decent writers.

I can see the banner now...

"Watch TNA Impact!...We're #1! ...Oh wait, that's just our ratings."

If they do it during the Playboy match or possibly the 24 Man battle royal then they might get a reaction. If they are dumb enough to do it during a world Title match then I hope they get a "fuck TNA" chant.

Whats funny about this is that TNA doesnt realize they blow.

Its alot like when XPW went to ECW. XPW sucked so it didnt work and didnt mean anything. It was embarrising and they got the shit beat out of them.

This is sort of a great opportunity for TNA though. WWE brings their biggest show of the year to TNA's backyard, of COURSE they need to do something like this to get WWE fans' attention.

It would probably have been bigger if they managed some front row tickets for some of their bigger stars.

lol, their turf. It's their turf because they can't tour and need to use a shitty soundstage. They also are clearly pathetic no matter what, for obvious reasons. That's like saying Sea World should send Shamu to Disney World during the Mickey Mouse parade to make a statement

the last time tna brought cookies and milk for the wwe guys and they were slapped with some sort o court order. Maybe they'll drop some from the plane.

Thursday night's live edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a 1.0 rating. This is down from recent weeks and clearly a disappointment for the company

It's a prime example of them trying to leech off the other guy and not worry about their own product. It's like showing some jobber from Heat in your crowd to try and earn credibility.

I think they should save the money on the plane and the banner, because judging by where their product is going they're gonna need it

It's not the first time someone tried a stunt like this. Heyman did the exact same thing at In Your House: Mind Games. He put ECW guys in the front row, and they did things that resulted in ECW chants. They were in Philadelphia, and gave some attention to a company that was in a Distant 3rd. Some people surely tuned in and saw an exciting, edgy, well put together show. That was a good publicity stunt.

TNA, however, isn't in the league of even ECW when it comes to marketing. Because TNA may grab the attention of some fans, who'll turn in to watch. What they'll see is a lazy, haphazardly put together product, much to the detriment of the promotion. They'll gain nothing from the publicity stunt.

Then again, gaining nothing from publicity stunts is kind of a TNA trademark, isn't it?

Exactly, fuck, who gives a shit that some lame ass wrestler that nobody cares about is in your crowd. Looking bored as hell if I might add.

If I was them, I wouldnt have shown it. If the Rock showed up, Id play it up huge. But ROBBIE, not so much.

If Smackdown moves back to Thursday, TNA is dead. I have no idea if it's 100% that SD will remain on Fridays so if anyone knows please feel free to correct me.
