Impact! 04-02-2008 07:45 AM

rofl at that guy woooooing at the start

Impact! 04-02-2008 07:57 AM

Now that was good. BUT according to Hulk it would have been much better if Hulk had of come out and posed with him, while 50 cloned hulks were flexing, posing and clapping on the outside of the ring.

St. Jimmy 04-02-2008 08:08 AM

That was absolutely amazing.

FourFifty 04-02-2008 08:42 AM

I hardcore hope this goes on the Flair DVD.

What a great moment. Seeing all the guys out there, man WWE really has their shit together right now. Have they ever had bigger stars than they have now?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-02-2008 02:14 PM

lol why did the Undertaker come out like that?

thedamndest 04-02-2008 04:09 PM

Why does Kane get to break character but not Taker?

thedamndest 04-02-2008 04:12 PM

Side note: I hope missing this Raw taught Jeff that drugs are bad, mmmkay.

D Mac 04-02-2008 04:18 PM

My guess is because his character is probably the most protected today, in terms of kayfabe. He doesn't even do interviews with the press and I'm not sure if he even attends fan events or was in the crowd at the Hall of Fame.

SammyG 04-02-2008 04:40 PM

He shoulda tombstoned him.

Mooияakeя™ 04-02-2008 07:12 PM

I know it's all we got, but ffs. i do wish these abstards would keep their fuckign cameras still! lol.

True Brit Grit 04-02-2008 07:21 PM

That one pretty much pushed me over the edge - absolutely amazing stuff - amazing.

Azriel 04-02-2008 07:24 PM

That was incredible. I'm sure this will probably be on the Mania DVD as well.

Rob 04-02-2008 07:27 PM

This is all gonna fucking suck a cock when Flair ruins it all and makes a comeback.

Mooияakeя™ 04-02-2008 07:35 PM

So the camera guy was there still filming, I actually wanna see this footage someday.

And then Aurora Rose will retire him.

ROFL first thing i thought. How lame is it that there honoring Flair and Taker goes full Taker mode for his entrance and 15 minutes later arrives at the ring.

lol didnt he just come off being like a biker guy and then " booger red " or something stupid . ROFL

I actually was hoping Randy Orton would have , out of nowhere, RKO'ed Taker as he got to the bottom of the ramp.

RP 04-02-2008 07:59 PM

Shane McMahon : Taker you coming out to pay tribute to Naitch?

Taker : Let me get my hat. Get my music and pyro ready.

Shane : ...

El Fangel 04-02-2008 11:38 PM

That was honestly a tear jerker. Fuck Flair is the man.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Taker appearing without an entrance of some kind just doesn't happen. I don't think I have ever seen him come out without some kind of entrance, even if its just a blackout. Taker just turning up would e weird. Plus, as was said earlier, he is one of the most protected gimmick / kayfabe wise.

Plus, as a fan, if I pay to see wwe live, Takers entrance is a great thing live. Especially to the kids in the audience (WWE's main market) who don't know who Tully Blanchard is / was, their favorite part was seeing takers entrance, for some anyway. Its not their fault for being 7 years old, lol.

All in all WWE handled Ric Flairs retirement excellently and credit to them for it. As much as I was dreading them using it to get Orton some heat, or turn someone heel, they didn't. The ending to raw this week has to be one of the all time great finishes to Raw.

Well done WWE. Also the person who got that extra video.

Corkscrewed 04-03-2008 02:08 AM

That video wasn't well done. All he deserves is a thanks for capturing basically what happened.

Honestly, Vince coming out without his music or his power walk/attitude felt weird.

But I mean, Taker just hugging Flair was one of those out of character moments but no one cared. If Taker had come down sans the gimmick in street clothes I think it would have been fine, but Taker likes it protected.

Overall, the ONE thing that would have made that 100% perfect would have been, after the stars had come down, Dusty comes out, everyone clears a path for him, he gets in the ring, stares Flair down then hugs him. It was the only thing missing there.

El Fangel 04-03-2008 05:14 AM

Xero is correct.

Rob 04-03-2008 12:32 PM

Dusty wasn't there.

Innovator 04-03-2008 01:11 PM

All the Horsemen in the ring, why would Dusty come down there? He'd just end up getting his ass kicked again
