Am I the only one who sort of likes Mr. Kennedy's new music?
 

It felt really awkward at first, but after listening to it a few times, I think it at least suits the guy. Not so much his new "ARGH! I'm angry all the time like Edge!" character, but his older "showman" character. For a guy who announces himself twice, and goes on quests defeating as many World Champions as he can, I think it's got the right arrogant edge to it.

I don't know, I'm probably alone in thinking that. :-\

But yeah, I definitely think Kennedy needs to change his attitude while using it, or something. Even if it's just before and after matches. I get what he's trying to do with his character, but I think he is making it dull to the point where playing a realistic character is hurting him rather than helping.

I think Kennedy should bring back the showman in him. We saw a little bit of it at WrestleMania, where he ran to the ring and sort of kept up with the pace of his music, and he had the vest and pants for the entrance. Maybe he could glitz it up with like a fake tuxedo he can rip off when he's done announcing himself, or something. I don't know, that's pretty stupid, but it seems to fit the Kennedy character.

The new music is growing on me. I was resistant to the change at first, but now, I'm starting to like it.

I know where you're coming from about the showmanship, though. Ever notice that, while on Smackdown, he got to do his mic falling from the ceiling introduction every time, but since moving to Raw, he almost never does it? I think letting him do that again would be a step in the right direction.

I like Airbourne so yes I like Kennedy's new theme.

I didnt even notice he had new music. It's always sucked either way, just like him.

The old music was fine. The new stuff seems like crap. I dunno. Maybe if I watched more wrestling it'd grow on me, but it hasn't so far.

I'm not a big fan at all of the new music. I mean, yeah its got a nice quick rhythm to it, but I thought his other theme worked a lot better.

I have grown to like the new music. The only problem I have with Kennedy is that they have him cut promo's (good solid promo's too) but he never gets to back up what he says in the promo. He has come out and announced his plans for winning the MITB again, and didn't win. Before that he has come out 2 or 3 times saying he is going to win, and then losing. Ok its not like the othr wrestlers don't claim they are going to win and then lose. But thats always the focus of his promo's, and when he can't back it up, it hurts his character.

The odd thing is that he went over Shawn Michaels clean a couple of times and they never followed it up. They were good matches too. Oh well I guess they will do something with him eventually. Hopefully something that doesn't involve future endeavors.

It grew on me a lot too. And I agree Noid, his entrance at Mania totally fit the new theme. It almost seemed like he was coming out for MITB as a face, the way he ran to the ring.

Jura, that isn't the new theme, that's just a rework of his old theme.

Anyway, I assume most of these theme changes are just temporary to promote the WWE CD, but some may stick, including Kennedy.

It's meh. His other one seemed to fit him better. This one, for lack of better phrasing, seems too "main stream". I (usually) prefer a wrestler to have something unique and something unique sounding, not something you could hear on a top 40 station, or bottom 40 station for that matter.

I kind of don't pay attention to his new theme. The old theme I liked.

I have no use for Kennedy's cock-rock theme. He was just fine without it.

Yes and I also like Kennedy's new entrance attire and his 5 o clock shadow he has going on. Hopefully they make him more of a showman than the bland as heck pissed off Edge-like character. Kennedy is so much better than Edge in every category, he deserves to be pushed as such.

I haven't seen enough of Kennedy recently to notice a character change - does he do his whole announcing thing anymore? What exactly is different?

His new entrance attire looks great, and I too am warming to his latest theme.
