Paul is the man...and by Paul of course I mean HHH

JK, I mean Big Show.

Good Ol JG 04-03-2008 03:49 PM

good read. i'd love to see big show get a bigger place in the wwe than just the feud with khali.

BigDaddyCool 04-03-2008 03:52 PM

Show has always been in an odd place. His title riegns are always boring and lame. I think he is going to probably destroy Kahli then go after Orton.

The Optimist 04-03-2008 03:53 PM

His run with the ECW title was pretty hilarious, sometimes in the good way sometimes in the bad way.

Really, he's the man as far as I'm concerned.

Porcupine 04-03-2008 04:21 PM

Show is great but WWE always ends up utilizing him as a giant jobber for some face to "overcome" his odds.

It sucks.

Stickman 04-03-2008 04:23 PM

I liked him as ECW champ. I havne't watched since then

Jeritron 04-03-2008 04:29 PM

They're putting him in a fued with Khali to go over him and look strong after the Mayweather thing. By the time that's done, Taker will have finished with Edge and Big Show will fued with Taker for the title

I like Show, but I always consider the Show/Taker feuds boring as hell.

Got a question for you gents. In WCW he had a feud with Nash, and I thought it was the shit. However, this is when I just became a fan and pretty muched marked on everything. What were others thoughts on the feud?

KYR 04-04-2008 02:45 AM

I think at the time The Giant had agreed to terms with Vince to join the WWF so WCW basically fed him to Nash and the nWo. Hogan *shudder* said one night they only had room for one Giant in the nWo and they already had one (Nash) and so they turned on Paul Wight - he left not long after that for the WWF.

Personally I didn't mind the storyline at the time (what I remember of it) and I didn't know (again at that time) that he was leaving, so I was always tuning in to find out what was going to happen next.

The great thing about Show is, because of his size, he can do the job, yet still look like a threat the next night, he's got loads of charisma.

I find it funny that a while ago he actually got sent to OVW for training, when you look at the past 4 years worth of show being on screen, he's been a valuable asset to Vince IMO

Big Show is really entertaining. I marked out for the "Show's gonna kill you!" chants on RAW. I like him much better as a face than as a heel. He's so easy to get behind when he is wrecking stuff. When he told Triple H he was full of shit on RAW a while back? Priceless stuff.

The man also draws, which is a rarity in the business today. I would honestly love to see a feud between Big Show and Orton. Can Randy jump high enough to hit the RKO on Show? Can Orton actually beat The Giant? For a mark, it would mark the end of Orton's reign. If they actually had Show do it, he'd move a few t-shirts, for sure.

Heyman always booked Show better than the WWE has.

Well I didn't mean 99, actually talking about Early to mid 98 when they were feuding. The whole thing where Nash broke Show's neck with a Powerbomb, and thus the Powerbomb being outlawed in WCW. Then Show coming back, only to Powerbomb Nash. I think the feud lasted till the nWo merged back together.

I got to see The Giant's last WCW match and appearance. He did the job to Kevin Nash. One of my favorite wrestlers.
