The IWC does more harm than good

I donated two bags of clothes to the Salvation Army last week. I'd say that's more net good than harm.

The IWC does jack shit one way or another in WWE.

In TNA, the IWTards come out and makes them think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The IWC brought Matt Hardy back to the WWE and in a way helped make Edge a bigger star than ever before.

We also got X-Pac off wrestling TV forever.

I want to know, what has Dames1 ever done?

The only harm the IWC could possibly do, is give Vince more of a reason for doing what he does, just to be a stubborn fuck.

We did encourage people to chant for Matt Hardy, and could possibly be linked to Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero getting the pushes they did. If they weren't accepted as "workhorses," do you really think either guy would have gotten a push?

I don't think it does a damn thing either way. It doesn't do any good, they obviously don't care about the IWC, Cena still gets rammed down our throats so they're not listening anyway. And it doesn't really do any harm because the people who choose to follow the IWC will do it regardless, the people who don't follow won't do it, so it's a wash to me.

Pretty much it just gives us all a forum to bitch about wrestling and make fun of Lame1 posts.

If the IWC can affect the Matt Hardy deal, which had some major chants going, then the opposite should also be considered. That if "we" can encourage the casuals, "we" can also discourage them.

It's only reasonnable.

Beyond that, I think it's easy to see why Eddie got a push. He's a charismatic, likable wrestler which genuinely got over with the fans. No IWC necessary. Benoit was well-liked backstage and evidently by the McMahons, so again, no real surprise.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure that the IWC is larger than Vince and company gives credit, but that doesn't particularly mean they have any more impact.

Anyway, I ad actually been thinking about sometimes similar the other day. Except it's from the other side of things. I think Vince's attitude towards the IWC and even the fanbase in general often comes down to cutting off your nose to spite your face. That's not to say the IWC or any fanbase is right, per se, but more that they shouldn't be treated with such amazing levels of scorn. It's caustic, and since it tends not to be limited to the IWC, who will stick to wrestling like a battered wife stands by her man, it can really damage the business.

I don't bother, really. My friends know a lot of my Val Venis jokes, which work with or without Noid's name, so....
