It's been 7 years.
Can we go back to calling it a Manhatten Drop now? Seriously?
|
The 7 year rule dictates that we can.
|
How long after WWII was it before people could start using the Atomic Drop again?
|
It's been less than a year... Can we start calling it a suicide dive again?
|
The Crossface WAS used within one year. I think it's all Kosher.
|
It wasn't called the Crippler Crossface, though.

Let's call it the Bin Laden Drop. And while we're at it, call it WWE Raw is War with the Sand Niggers.

I think it should be called the Ass Cracker.
|
Hmph, I thought wrestling fans only had a 2 week memory span.
or at least that's how we're treated. Personally, even the day after 9/11 I've been calling it the Manhattan Drop. |
Baghdad Bomb?

I've never heard the move referred to as a Manhattan drop. Like ever. Is that actually a correct name for it, and not just something thrown out there by the video games?
I actually like to call it a reverse atomic drop. "Inverted" is what people usually go with, but I don't know. I like using reverse for moves that are performed by the wrestler the very same way, but are done with the opponent facing the opposite way. For example, a reverse DDT is performed exactly like a DDT, but instead of driving the opponent face-first, they are driven onto the back of their head. I prefer to use "inverted" for a move that is a variation of the original, but with a modified mode of execution. For example, a reverse figure four could be a standard figure four applied with the opponent facing down. An inverted figure four could face the opponent up, but with the pressure on the legs reversed. |
It should be renamed to the taint driver. That will be my finisher if I become a wrestler.
|
i always remembered hearing it as the inverted atomic drop. then when i bought the guide book for N64's wcw vs nwo world tour it listed the "manhattan drop" as a move for guys like buff bagwell. had no idea what it was, turns out it was the same thing as the atomic drop.
my point being, who and when was it called the manhattan drop? |
they're both suplexes to Jim Ross.
|
The Crippler Crossface was called the Crossface, but it's still too close, too soon.
You hear me? TOO SOON! :'( I vote to combine the Suicide Dive and the Power Bomb into a new move, the Suicide Bomber. |
Jeff Hardy should come back with a Terrorist Gimmick, and use the Swanton as the "Suicide Bomb"
|
Even better. Jeff Hardy needs to do something risky.
