Series got rebooted with Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox titles) and Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3. The clear sequel to those is Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword on the DS and then Ninja Gaiden 2 on 360.

It is being developed by Team Ninja and published by Microsoft Game Studios exclusively for the Xbox 360. This is also the first time that the game will not be published by Tecmo. While sharing the number as the NES game Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos, it is not related to said title.

Tried to get Ninja Gaiden at Gamestop and they had a box for it but not the game. Freaking always happens at gamestop

Word. I went to get Black, they had the box for it, but only the regular ass game. Gonna stick to ordering online.

There's supposed to be a demo coming out but it's not up yet.

How many Ninja Gaidens are there?

3 for NES, 2 for Xbox (NG and NG Black basically the same), Ninja Gaiden Sigma for PS3 (a port of the Xbox version), and a couple for handhelds I think.

Gametrailers gave the game an 8.2. They say it's pretty good, but it's going to be a bitch and a half for lots and lots of people. And, they could have gave the engine a tune up.

I'll be cracking open my EGM mag that just came in to see what they say. But if you really want to get your feet wet, download or by the first Ninja Gaiden on either the Xbox/Xbox360, or Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3.

the NES trilogy was ported to SNES in one game as well.

Damn, he single handidly saves Tecmo ten years ago and now this. He's abit of a smart-ass shit talker, but he made quality games atleast. Hopefully he joins (or begins) another team and creates some new franchises. Good luck with DOA 5, Tecmo.

w00t, just got dis an hour ago, pretty sweet so far not too difficult but not too easy ether on way of the warrior difficulty.

I heard this was slightly dissapointing.

Its still pretty good, not as good as the first mind you, but some of the new weapons are pretty kool and the graphics r nice.

Hardass game tho, took me 6-7 tries to beat that fuken spiderclan sub boss in chapter 2 since i saved w/ no health items... that boss is cheap

Camera sucks ass and the plot is rather dull. EGM didn't even give it a full review. They just threw it in their wrap-up section.

Wrap up section is for stuff they don't have time to do a full review for. Has nothing to do with the quality of the game. Next issue will have one.

Played the demo. Camera can kiss my ass, and it isn't clear where to go next at times. The controls are spot-on and I like leaving a scene full of body parts. A Lock-On feature would have done this game much good, or atleast pulling the camera back abit.

Still: DMC4 > NG2

Do you start out with all those weapons in the actual game, or was that just for the demo?

The talons are fucking beastly. Like those the best, I think. Although the move where I took the big scythe and slashed the guy to pieces made me leap out of my seat and do a good ol' fist pump.

Dunno kalyx. Have yet to perform a leaping fist pump in DMC4.

I believe you mean those moments when you 'bocome' the character and get lost in the bloodlust of the action? Yes. I get that alot with Dante.

I got it a few times with this ninja, too. When I executed four ninjas in a row I was like, "Anybody else?!? Anybody!?! C'mon!!"

Now I feel like playing it now.
