Personal markdom for Sting forces me to vote against Austin.

Wow, wasn't expecting that one. Definitely gotta go with Sting.

Destor 04-13-2008 02:57 PM

Personally I think every good match Sting had in his entire career he was carried to and with out a strong opponent to hold his hand he isn't capable of getting a two star match.

St. Jimmy 04-13-2008 02:59 PM

Austin, by a Mile.

Lock Jaw 04-13-2008 02:59 PM

Sting, easily. No contest here, for me, really... Even if it wasn't against someone I don't like, I doubt I would vote against Sting. He's one of those guys where I would only vote a select few over.

Xero 04-13-2008 03:02 PM

Austin still wins out with me, but I can tell this one will likely be close. Good match-up here. :y:

Heros Welcome 04-13-2008 03:10 PM

Wow what a matchup...

Always a huge fan of Stings, but Austin is Austin and I'm going with him here as well. Sting was and still is great but Austin was a tad bit better. Was very close for me, but Steve gets the nod.

Destor 04-13-2008 03:26 PM

Suggestions for the next round would be nice, keep in mind if Austin wins it will be his final match next time. :y:

Jura 04-13-2008 03:39 PM

To be the man, you've got to beat the man. Sting beat the man. Therefore by transitive properties, Sting is the man.

Londoner 04-13-2008 03:58 PM

I hate sting, could never vote for him over austin. Austins far more entertaining.

the rock. ;)

CSL 04-13-2008 07:05 PM

Austin. Once again better and more entertaining in just about every way (except with the possibility of Sting vs. nWo being unmissable for a while) Sting has his great matches but Austin had more. And they meant more.

Innovator 04-13-2008 07:06 PM

Austin.

Flair isn't here for Sting like at the Clash

Loose Cannon 04-13-2008 08:11 PM

Austin

thedamndest 04-13-2008 08:30 PM

Austin. I didn't watch WCW regularly enough back in the day.

UmbrellaCorporation 04-13-2008 08:55 PM

Close call here....

but Austin.

Destor 04-13-2008 09:01 PM

Sting is being murderd.

Anybody Thrilla 04-13-2008 09:32 PM

I never was a huge fan of Sting for some reason that I still don't really understand. I liked him when I was a kid and he had a blonde buzzcut, but I guess I just thought he was lame after a while. Maybe if he would've ever been a heel I would have enjoyed him more.

The Optimist 04-13-2008 11:23 PM

Blade Runner Sting was better than Stunning Steve, Crow Sting was cooler than Stone Cold

Sting

Suggestions:
Goldberg
Dusty Rhodes
Kevin Nash

Destor 04-13-2008 11:25 PM

All three of those men would be absolutly maimed by steve austin

The Optimist 04-13-2008 11:38 PM

So, The Rock then?

Anybody Thrilla 04-13-2008 11:39 PM

Hogan

Good Ol JG 04-13-2008 11:41 PM

Austin without question.

The Optimist 04-13-2008 11:47 PM

We're making some sort of weird ladder of majesty that we're trying to break. We've only got a few choices left to try to put in this. Ric Flair, Rock, Hogan, Mick Foley, who else am I missing?

Destor 04-13-2008 11:57 PM

Foley?

Anybody Thrilla 04-13-2008 11:57 PM

Bret Hart

Destor 04-13-2008 11:58 PM

I'll think about Goldberg.

Lock Jaw 04-13-2008 11:58 PM

Hogan and Foley have no chance of beating Austin on here. Especially Hogan.

Flair, Rock, HBK might be the only ones who stand a chance, off the top of my head.

Xero 04-13-2008 11:59 PM

Angle.

Destor 04-14-2008 12:19 AM

Yeah, Angle could do it. I think I know who I'm gonna throw at him. But it will piss most of you off.

Lock Jaw 04-14-2008 12:45 AM

Gillberg?

The Optimist 04-14-2008 12:48 AM

Boogeyman?

Innovator 04-14-2008 12:48 AM

Rock or the Nature Boy

St. Jimmy 04-14-2008 01:37 AM

Flair or Trips

Fabien Barthez 04-14-2008 08:56 AM

Id go with Angle or AJ Styles. If Austin isn't progressing past the next match, he might as well not face another huge name. That way if/when he wins, the whole thing can be started again with 2 different guys, and shoot at it from another perspective with some more mid-carders.

Austin for me.

wwe2222 04-14-2008 10:16 AM

Was never a fan of Sting. His gimmicks or his matches never really excited me. Ive always enjoyed Austin since he was Stunning Steve and part of the Hollywood Blondes.

Loose Cannon 04-14-2008 10:18 AM

yea, AJ Styles definately has a chance against Austin

While I respect your opinion, that's stretching it a little bit...He was atleast capable of a 2 and a half star match on his own...

But as far as my vote, I'm going to go for Sting, i never got big on the whole 3:16 thing, but I can admit, for someone nearly cripple, Austin could go in the ring, but alot of times, while his in-ring work is great, He was a bit sloppy in his execution alot of the time.

Plus just the fact, that when I was growing up, Sting was my favorite wrestler, I give him the nod, not like he's going to outdraw Austin in this.
