YAY! (Raw Spoilers)

http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.php?id=30433&p=1

Arena is pretty full, around 20,000 fans. Lilian Garcia looks hot. Not all matches may be in order.

Heat:

Hardcore Holly vs. ?? (sounded like the last name was Collymore). Holly wins in nine minutes with the Alabama Slam.

Melina & Jillian Hall defeated Maria & Ashley.

Cody Rhodes vs. Charlie Haas is next. Cody wins a solid match.

Super Crazy vs. "Canadian Bulldog" DH Smith. Not a huge pop for Smith - kids are not watching Heat enough. Smith wins.

Val Venis comes out next to a big pop, he will now lose to Snitsky. Snitsky wins following a loud "Brush Your Teeth" chant.

There is a throne next to the Titantron.

RAW:

Next week's Raw will be a King Of The Ring tournament.

Raw beings with a Shawn Michaels promo. Michaels is interrupted by Ric Flair's music. Out comes Chris Jericho, who cuts into Shawn superbly. Shawn superkicks Jericho.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Carlitno & Santino is the first match. A nice pop for the heels. Carlito & Santino won, and as a result are the number one contender's for the tag belts. Carlito and Santino cut a short promo after the match.

William Regal puts together Triple H vs. JBL following a confrontation between the two of them.

Women's Champion Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James is up. They do the "big fight" style introductions with both in the ring. Title change on Raw as Mickie becomes the new champion and starts crying with joy. Maria and Ashley come out to congratulate her.

William Regal is warming up when Chris Jericho interrupts. Regal responds Jericho's moaning by making him the referee of the Michaels-Batista match at Backlash and then says he gets to fight Umaga.

JTG defeats Trevor Murdoch. Lance Cade gives Murdoch an earful after losing and walks off.

Randy Orton vs. William Regal is up. A good match, Regal loses clean to the RKO.

Chris Jericho vs. Umaga. Y2J wins a good match by putting his feet on the ropes for the pin. Very few jeer him.

Triple H vs. JBL. The main event ends when Randy Orton attacks Triple H just as he is getting the upper hand on JBL. JBL then double crosses Orton. I believe TV will end with JBL holding up the title belt to a chorus of boos. Triple H ended up giving Orton a pedigree to send the fans home happy.

The most interesting bit of the night was the Y2J heel turn tease, and the announcement that the King Of The Ring tournament will involve all three brands.
--------------

YAY for Mickie winning the Women's Title and it looks like Jericho is a heel now.

Plus no Cena = MUST WATCH

I'll admit I haven't been following very well, but why did Mickie get the shot in the first place? If it was a one-off match that's pretty stupid.

Well before the whole stupid Bunnymania thing, Mickie was on a losing streak against Beth. Week after week she would face Beth in some kind of match and lose. And then Mickie pinned Beth in a tag match a while back and then won a tag match last week.

Once again they should have built this up for Mania, but heaven forbid they leave the Playboy cover girl without a match.

No Cena this week!

Londoner 04-14-2008 06:48 PM

Londoner 04-14-2008 06:49 PM

SammyG 04-14-2008 06:51 PM

The airline companies are probably so sick of the fucking sight of him too, they never let him over here.

They just don't trust wiggers on their airplanes.

Some of us Americans don't get them, either.

A Raw without Cena, no matter how bad the show might be, is an awesome show. From the results, this looked like a decent show.

One thing I don't get: Why did they have Regal vs Orton?

SammyG 04-14-2008 07:36 PM

I have said it before, I will say it again. I like Cena.

They are in England, so they figured they would do they customary "Job the home guy out" routine.

Evidently the crowd popped huge for the title change.

Well yeah...See, had I been paying attention to the fact they were in England, I prolly wouldn't have asked.

Poor Regal, though. I'd be pissed if I had to keep jobbing in front of my hometown cowd. They couldn't even have him attack Orton after because they're both heels...it woulda worked better if they had a face they could job him out to. At least he coulda saved face at the end..

As much as I'm glad Mickey James finally got the Womens title back, they really could have waited for a bigger event.

YES JERICHO IS A HEEL AGAIN

Mr. Nerfect 04-14-2008 09:09 PM

I disagree with the idea of a Jericho heel turn. The guy has never been a great heel in the WWE, in my opinion. At least, not as good as he has ever been as a face. Plus, he returned like what, six months ago? Plus, it sounds like he got pops regardless of his "heel" actions.

I don't mind what they seem to be doing with him, though. He seems to be acting like a heel towards heels. That sort of makes him an anti-heel, which is pretty good stuff, I think. Gives him an Eddie Guerrero-like edge.

Mickie James is the greatest womens wrestler of all time. Bar none. This is awesome. :y:
