I remember playing them for PS2 and it was pretty awesome, same types of graphics as this Naruto thing.

Yeah. Burst Limit looks good, but nowhere near as close to it's anime counterpart as this is.

Naruto Rise of Ninja, for 360 has japanese dialogue as DLC. I think its free, but don't quote me on that. It's an action-rpg. Supposed to be fairly good.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3, for ps2 has a japanese audio option. Mad fun fighting game. Not exceptionaly deep when compared to other fighters. Think dbz budokai, applied to naruto's world and physics. But with more unique movesets.

Used to work at blockbuster. Worst job ever. But because of the free rentals, I stayed to the point where I got fired, cause I was so sick of their bullcrap and refused to push their crappy sales on people.

It seems to borrow heavily from the DBZ Tenkaichi series (which I like). Looks very good.

I'm officially excited a PS3 game not called Metal Gear or Final Fantasy. The demo drops soon.

I don't give a crap about Naruto, but the game looks really nice.

Looks like Qore subscription is paying off. Getting the demo right now through it. I'll post spoiler free impressions tomorrow to let you know if it plays as good as it looks.

Because it isn't primarily a fighting game? It is an action/adventure game with quests and exploration that has a fighting mode in addition. In the event the demo was from the main adventure/story mode , there could have been story spoilers contained in it.

Anyways, just so happens the demo is only a battle between Kakashi and Naruto from the battle mode. Plays extremely smooth and everything really does come off looking almost identicle to the anime, down to the characters, environments, animations and even mannerisms. However, the battle mode plays almost exactly like the recent DBZ games, ESPECIALLY Burst Limit, with a few minor tweaks. You are able to constantly have a partner jump in and make a quick attack for you (you have 2 partners as Naruto, one if you choose Kakashi). Other than that, everything is pretty much DBZ clone, right down to ki charging being an exact duplicate of chakra charging, just mapped to a different button. Oh, and there is a jump button here, but considering pressing up in Burst Limit has you lift off the ground and fly, that isn't much of a difference. Mind you these comparisons are based on a scaled down version that doesn't have any of the button context moves (ie 'jutsu' techniques) or advanced techniques combos. Also, at the beginning of the demo you are given a choice between English and Japanese voice casts, and both appear to be the real voice actors from the series.

Hopefully with there being an adventure mode at the core of the main game things will be better and more varied. If the adventure mode pans out to be the greatness it appeared to be from the Qore interviews, then this game should be pretty great. Hopefully the next DBZ game takes a few cues from this and adds in an adventure mode of its own.

The Burst Limit series is garbage, atleast until part 3 where they'll catch up to Tenkaichi's level of characters and such. Complete backstep there.

I agree completely, although I did buy it. Mainly for the graphics and because they have me a blu-ray DBZ movie for the freez with it. I am pretty much a graphic freak and anything with amazing graphics = must own for me.

Oh, and they should scrap burst limit and release one game that covers all 3 series and has all the characters and a super long story mode that isn't so chopped up.

Basically said its not a bad game, but not great either. Which is what all naruto games get,and was wha I expected.

But holy mother of christ does it look good. Def gonna rent it, but the lack of characters will hold me off from buying until the inevitable sequel.

And they better have all the Part 1 characters, and shippuden characters in said sequel, to make up for the crappy roster in this one.

This game is seriously fun and hyper competitive. I almost feel silly for thinking the forced camera angle would hurt it - I prefer it to split screen now.
