Epiphany or Epi-Phone?
Is the name Epiphone actually pronounced Ep-ee-fone? I'd alway assumed the name was a play on epiphany, had have always pronounced it as such, but I've noticed EVERYONE says it the other way.
|
i've always said it epiphone like episode.

I didn't do that myself to allow room for such tomfoolery.
Well in KK. Never miss a beat, my man. :D |
I had to. :D
|
whats the other way? i always said it same as you and everyone i ever knew did too.
|
Epiph-o-ne
|
Like it rhymes (sorta) with telephone. Like I said, I always figured it was a play on Epiphany, and pronounced it as such, so this phone nonsense is kinda alien to me.

E-mail them. Don't try to pretend you don't have the time to seek the truth on this one.

Eh-pee-phone
The name "Epiphone" is a combination of proprietor Epaminondas Stathopoulo's nickname "Epi" and "phone", Greek for "sound". stolen off Wiki. |
"Eh-pee-phone" is how my old guitar teacher used to pronounce it.
|
I bet anyone a cheese sandwich KK hasn't yet emailed them.
Lazy. :foc: You could take the Wiki answer, but I wouldn't expect you to, frankly. |
I always said it as epiphany
|
