To compete with rockband.

Don't remember where I saw it, and don't feel like looking. My tpww rep is such that you should all believe me anyways.

Vocals were the only other instrument mentioned, but I assume drums will happen too.

Gotta say, I garauntee no one who owns rockband will buy this if the peripherals aren't interchangable. Not buying two fucking sets of drums and mics, and ANOTHER guitar.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous right now. I have 2 PS2 guitars, 1 360 guitar, a 360 mic and a 360 drumset. The drums are in the basement, as they take up mad space too. They take up mad space

Wadding was telling me about a survey he took in which they mention specifically adding new instrumentS to the mix, and asked about names like Guitar Hero: Jame.

And this proprietary bullshit. I mean, I have an LP and a Strat controller. I can't use the strat with Guitar Hero. So I can't use the drums from Rock Band on the next Guitar Hero. They'll probably come up with some way to prevent you from using a USB Microphone unless it's one of theirs.

Why the fuck would I want to buy up a new set of instruments to play a new game? especially when I have like 50 tracks on Rock Band?

I need to buy the drum set eventualy, but I live in a tiny closet of an Apartment.

I'll stick with RB for drums. If you can't use any of those on GH 4 I might just get the mic and that's it.

If the RB Guitar is any clue, the drums will not work for this new 'Hero game. It's over-doing, anyway. I would have been fine with tracks that allow Lead, Bass, and Rhythm and a 3-player mode that let's three players play them all at once. More exclusive tracks like the three in GH3 where real guitar heroes have a jam session on their axes and you play them. For that matter, special versions of popular rock songs with extra solos and sections made just for the game (like Cult of Personality). All of that would've locked GH4 down on my wishlist, but being a copycat seems to be the order of the day.

What would be even better, is if there was some product that would allow you to plug say a PS2 guitar into it and then be plugged into an Xbox360. That's the reason I didn't buy Guitar Hero 3, was cause I wasn't gonna buy another guitar for a new system

Well at least we'll still get Guitar Hero. Maybe more downloadable shits to compete with RB also. Of course i'll only buy the ones I can't get on RB.

GH controllers work with rockband, but not the other way around.

The GH3 controller works on RB I know for sure. A lot of people on youtube still use it because it is easier to nail some of the solos in harder songs. But as for RB guitar working for GH3, I -might- have heard that it does not work.

Yeah, cuz I need another guitar and I was wondering whether to bother getting the GH3 bundle for 360.

Rockband wireless guitars are 69.99 at wal-mart. Might as well just get the Les Paul GH3 bundle instead.

PS3 controllers are not interchangable. There was a patch coming out for Rock Band, but Activision got Sony to block it....
