12 fucking times, woooooooooooooooooo! That was a good ppv. Plus I got it for free cause I complain to comcast constantly.

Suicidal Icon 04-27-2008 11:03 PM

I'm happy for you.

St. Jimmy 04-27-2008 11:05 PM

12 TIME BABY! WOOOO YEAH!

Xero 04-27-2008 11:09 PM

Not that I don't love Triple H, but honestly I just don't care anymore.

What's this going to change? Everyone essentially stays where they are. It'll be Triple H/Orton... Then Triple H/Cena... Both of which would work without a title just as well. The belts are a joke.

Honestly, the WWE could do away with all the titles and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Though if he gets rid of the spinner then at least it's something. :y:

Ruien 04-27-2008 11:14 PM

So what was the point of Orton winning at WM?

The Naitch 04-27-2008 11:19 PM

it stopped spinning once Orton won it

U-Warrior 04-27-2008 11:20 PM

What, he had to win tonight, because he won at mania?

What are you on about, guy?

Heros Welcome 04-27-2008 11:26 PM

http://civilizer.files.wordpress.com...apocalypse.jpg Thats what I think about Trips becoming champion.

Exactly. In a time where WWE's product is considered by many inside and outside the industry as stale, boring, and predictable; they go with the same tried and true formula that doesn't help develop any new talent, doesn't help anyone new get over and just puts the same old tired band-aid on the much bigger, gaping would.

In a time where WWE should clearly be trying to build new stars, why bother? Let HHH instead cement his legacy as a "legend" in the business....

Xero 04-27-2008 11:32 PM

It's not that Triple H won, though, it's the titles themselves and the booking. If Orton and Triple H had a long, thought-out feud ending with Triple H finally beating Orton and getting the title, it would be fine.

Right now it's "Triple H/Cena/Orton won the match. Like I didn't see that coming."

Honestly, JBL would have been a huge shock and better than any of the other three. Not a good shock and we would eventually find out it was a bad idea, but for the first minute or so it'd be like "Holy shit"...

The Optimist 04-28-2008 12:54 AM

The match was destined to fail. The main event has been destined to fail since they had Hardy job at the Royal Rumble.

[QUOTE=Xero Limit 126;2137042]Right now it's Triple H/Cena/Orton won the match. Like I didn't see that coming.QUOTE]

That sentence in a nutshell sums up the problems with WWE.

And in a company where long term booking doesnt exist, the other aforementioned senarios can't happen

PullMyFinger 04-28-2008 02:53 AM

I'm glad Triple H won it. Just have him annhiliate everyone in the WWE roster, no one is really worth anything anyway. Really, after Cena's reign, anything looks good at this point.

TerranRich 04-28-2008 03:00 AM

HHH > Cena

But then again, 0.000001 > 0.0, so...

St. Jimmy 04-28-2008 03:11 AM

How long before Triple H vs. HBK for the belt?

And you were moaning at me for not watching the show unless it was free here when you were watching it for free?

I think we have a contender for Noid's "shittiest booking idea" crown.

KYR 04-28-2008 07:14 AM

I'd just like to say that out of HHH, Orton, Cena and JBL - I am absolutely delighted that HHH won :y:

NoRoolz 04-28-2008 08:03 AM

The glass ceiling returns.

I dunno though, I'd rather HHH over Cena or JBL any day. Orton is OK, just not much more than average.

Agreed. HHH hasn't had the title properly(not including no mercy) for a long time now, people act like he's been winning the title over and over recently but he hasn't. I dont think this damages Orton either as he's had a good heel run with the title. Some poeple are being a bit over dramatic. It'll be interesting to see who beats HHH for the title, though it seems it'll just be cena or orton sadly.

Rob 04-28-2008 08:50 AM

God you people are idiots. John Cena was the biggest drawing champion in like 5 years.

Londoner 04-28-2008 08:52 AM

Not in terms of ratings...

Triple H couldn't draw during the Attitutde Era; what's your point?

OMG, you found an instance where BDC is being a hypocrit? Anyhow, I was originally willing to pay for the paper view, but the signal was cutting in and out, and getting blocky and shit, so I called Comcast (local cable provider for those that are dumb). They said I would get it half off or possible just free.

Kane Knight 04-28-2008 09:13 AM

Comcast owns thirty per cent of the cable market, BDC.

Eh? My point was that Rob said 'cena was the biggest drawing champion in 5 years'. Clearly this isn't the case in terms of ratings..i wasn't comparing him to HHH. I enjoy watching HHH a lot more than watching Cena though, but then thats not saying much really.

The English don't know that.

So...By "local," you meant "A region 500 times as large as England"

TerranRich 04-28-2008 09:46 AM

Considering a large portion of TPWWers are English, then yes, KK, that's what "local" meant.

And I guess HHH was the lesser of 4 evils.

I see we're back to the shit sandwich idea. So this HHH shit sandwich is gonna be that much better than the Cena shit sandwich we've been getting for the past however long? In the end, they're all shit sandwiches.

Well, if you want to try and correlate ratings and buyrates, go ahead, but it's a rather empty comparison. Granted, both have been down of late, but there's no real direct correlation.

The CyNick 04-28-2008 10:42 AM

Triple H constantly being champion is one of the many reasons I stopped following wrestling as closely as I used to. I just found him on top made the top of the card stagnant. At the same time, its been since 2005 that he had a real title reign, so I don’t think I would be that upset he got the title this time.

At the end of the day, Orton, HHH and Cena will likely be the focal point of the title picture for a while, so I don’t think it really matters which one is actually carrying around the title.

Cena probably deserves the title more in terms of making money for the company, but he could probably use a title chase story since he had the belt so long

Jeritron 04-28-2008 11:43 AM

Ever considered that they might want it on HHH to fued with Regal, while Orton and Cena or JBL all get in a muck over the number one contendership?

HHH has more ability to get someone over as a new heel champion

dablackguy 04-28-2008 11:46 AM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Everytime Orton has gotten something so much as semi going, HHH has undercut him, so yeah, fat chance

Kane Knight 04-28-2008 11:50 AM

Yeah, in the end, I guess which turd has floated to the top doesn't really matter. Cena will make more money from merchandising than all three drive off in ratings/ad revenue, Orton will do nothing, and Triple H will be tolerated as "carrying" Cena or some bullshit.,

I'd feel worse about this if I thought Randy Orton could ever go anywhere on his own merit. I mean, Triple H undercutting Jeff Hardy (Who would probably go somewhere if he could keep off the shit for 3 months) or Batista (Who is marketable) or similar would be a bad thing. but at least we're not really snuffing anyone's potential.
