A thought that came to me.
Ok. We are all familiar with comments from those who dislike Guitar Hero. Most common being "why don't you learn how to a real guitar instead of playing a video game". But with this comment I wonder, why don't you hear this about other games? You don't hear DDR fanatics being told to take up dance lessons. Nor those who like light guns games are told to get a license to own a gun for themselves.
|
Probably because if you look at DDR, it looks nothing like dancing. Nor does it make you feel like you are dancing.
Guitar Hero makes you feel like you are playing the song. |
DDR is a techno work out.
|
This, like, just came to you? Because people have been saying it almost as long as people have been saying "Why don't you just play a real guitar?"
Also, Guitar Hero makes you feel like you're playing a song. If you're severely mentally handicapped. DDR in no way makes you feel like you're dancing. Which is why there are so many idiots at arcades and on Youtube who seem to think otherwise.... |
kk.
bro. Don't be so mean to me. |
DDR is "some form of dancing" Guitar Hero you're not at all playing guitar.

I constantly deride Zelda fans with catcalls of, "Hey, faggot, why don't you man up and really learn to quest for the Triforce of power!"
|
Funny, I just finished a side-quest 2 hours ago.
Got a shoe that makes me run faster or something. And appearently I'm more resistant to poisons... Who listens to old people anyway? |
You also don't hear this with those of us who avidly play wrestling games. "Hey, why don't ya MAN UP, put on some tights, and step into a ring for real?"
Because I'm fat and my only exercise is fiddling with my joystick. :shifty: |
