gay ass torrents

Alright, as you may or may not know I could be considered 'legally retarded', so bear with me here

I d/l the torrent, and it shows up on Azures, but nothing goes. Mad standstill. The little face thing is at red :(. Previously it was working but mad slowly, and the face never got past the yellow :mmeh: face (whatever that means)

What shall I do ?

Find a different torrent.

Requiem 05-03-2008 02:01 AM

Yeah, probably means there are no seeders.

Also, use uTorrent. Much better than Azureus. Azureus is a resource hog and uses Java.

Nervous Ferret 05-04-2008 01:02 AM

ya all of those were coming from demonoid, I tried isohunt and so far all successes. thanks i guess? I
m sure I will screw something up soon though so stand by

It is all dependent on how many people are uploading. Sounds like you just got a dead torrent. Always get ones with as many seeders (uploaders) as possible.

Purgatory 05-04-2008 11:34 AM

Yeah, UTorrent might be a better choice.

Although, I've also found that torrents from Demonoid are still a bit dodgy as far as getting a decent dl'ing speed.

Actually it sounds like you need to properly configure your listening ports.

I use uTorrent (the best, nothing else comes close) and find myself have to foward the ports on a regular basis, somethimes once every couple of weeks. Some ISP's will throttle down the speed with ports on P2P. if you need help let me know, I'll try and walk you through it.

Nerf, use this.

www.mininova.com

search whatever, then to the right you will see seeders/leechers, click on seeders so it sorts the list by most seeders, you can probably get the rest yourself.

Mininova is not going to solve his problem. It's more than likely a port issue. Use uTorrent and there is an option to enable Protocol Encryption in the BitTorrent section (at least on the latest beta, might be elsewhere in the official release). Then just open a port on your router and you should be good to go.

Or just buy everything legally.

G 05-05-2008 09:06 PM
