Better Wrestler #20
Alright, due to Destor's absence I will be taking over the reigns of this ongoing compettition.
John Cena has proved resiliant against a variety of main event names, known more for their marquis value and drawing ability rather than their in ring work. He has managed to overcome all obstacles thrown at him thus far, beating out the likes former champions in Hogan, Luger and Ultimate Warrior. But with only 2 wins remaining until becoming the second member of the prestigious hall of fame he must take on all forms of challengers, and not just one type. His next formidable opponent, handpicked by Destor, is not known for his flashiness, but rather his work on the mat... http://imagecache2.allposters.com/im...na-Posters.jpg VS http://www.accelerator3359.com/Wrest...s/malenko2.jpg <SELECT><OPTION selected>Better Wrestler History<OPTION>RVD vs CM Punk (34-19-2)</OPTION><OPTION>RVD vs Santino Marella (36-4)</OPTION><OPTION>RVD vs Mr. Perfect (15-23-1)</OPTION><OPTION>Mr. Perfect vs Tully Blanchard (30-5-1)</OPTION><OPTION>Mr. Perfect vs Chris Jericho (15-23-3)</OPTION><OPTION>Chris Jericho vs Brock Lesnar (34-10)</OPTION><OPTION>Chris Jericho vs William Regal (38-14-2)</OPTION><OPTION>Chris Jericho vs Eddie Guerrero (21-23-13)</OPTION><OPTION>Eddie Guerrero vs Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (26-7-3)</OPTION><OPTION>Eddie Geurrero vs "Macho Man" Randy Savage (26-19-3)</OPTION><OPTION>Eddie Guerrero vs Diamond Dallas Page (39-8)</OPTION><OPTION>Eddie Guerrero vs "Stone Cold" Steve Austin(19-28-2)</OPTION><OPTION>"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs Chris Benoit (32-13)</OPTION><OPTION>"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs Jake "The Snake" Roberts (29-10)</OPTION><OPTION>"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs Sting (36-16-2)</OPTION><OPTION>"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs Bret "The Hitman" Hart (32-31)</OPTION><OPTION>Hulk Hogan vs John Cena (15-24-9)<OPTION>John Cena vs Lex Luger (32-6-2)<OPTION>John Cena vs Ultimate Warrior (29-18-0)</OPTION></SELECT> <SELECT><OPTION selected>Better Wrestler Hall of Fame</OPTION><OPTION>"Stone Cold" Steve Austin</OPTION></SELECT> |
Dean Malenko is a personal favorite of mine. If I could clone any one guy it would be Dean. I absolutly adore the guy, in this day in age there isn't a lot of room for him to draw so he takes a hit there, he's one of those guys who were born 20 years to late. All time favorite of mine, and Cena cant see him.
Note to self: remember to make poll public in the future
He's an all-time favorite of man?
Id say my head isnt with me but that would be an understament.
Yup
The only reason Im on here is to take care of this and to be honest wrestling is hard to focus on.
HMMMMMMMMMMM
Well, it took me a little longer than I thought it would take for me to make a decision but I know where I'm going with this one. A fan of both men at one point. I always seemed to take a liking to Dean back in WCW, iono what it was but I was drawn in. Mind you I was 9, so I still dont know why I was pulled into him, but I was. He destroys Cena when it comes to actually mat work and wrestling ability in general. Then Cena totally dominants Dean when it comes to working a mic, and being marketable. Closer then I thought, but my vote is going to....... Dean Malenko |
I'll always lean towards the high calibur technical wrestler over the big draw, or really over character.
Especially if that technical wrestler is Dean Malenko. |
Dean Malenko knows 995 more holds than Cena. He wins by a landslide.
I usually look at who I vote for in this from a 'business' type of view as well as wrestling fan. Because Cena is a big name, draw, money maker, has the charisma and isn't the worst worker, I'd want him in my Mania main event. However, Malenko was that good he has to be one guy you'd be hard to vote against. Draw I guess :-\
Dunno, would vote draw, but i like malenko more overall even though he didn't get anywhere near as far as cena has, im gonna go with malenko simply because i respect malenko's wrestling ability a lot more.
LOL@how much malenkos winning by btw :D
Dean for two reasons:
I like him more. It'll get Cena out of the running. |

rofl @ this poll.
Who's a better actor? Daniel Day Lewis or Orlando Bloom? Here's a hint, it ain't the one that draws more money. |
Man of 1000 holds.
Stinko Malenko via submission.
Dean Malenko easily. One of my all-time faves.
Destor's great for handpicking this
You're all marking, or should i say "smarking"
and if he had come back and one the king of the ring would you all think he didn't deserve it?

There is more than just mat skills to consider in the modern age of pro wrestling, and in judging them in every aspect of their job and how they perform it. It just so happens this time, that because most people here prefer a really solid wrestler over a jakked-up draw, Malenko is getting the nod. I'm sure if this was an SMS poll at a live WWE event, the percentages would be the same. Just in the other direction. |
Who the fuck wastes their vote on a Draw?
Grow a pair of nuts and make a call, you pussy! :foc: |

Malenko.
Explanations are effort. |
Malenko by a long shot. No explanation needed.
Malenko, not just because of John Cena bias. Malenko could carry anyone to a great match any day.
lol, I love hoe Cena's numbers plummet when he's up against an actual wrestler. lol
Ah, results. Delicious.
And someone mentioned the King of the Ring. This makes no sense, but I immediately thought, Regal has just won, is tired as hell, Vince comes out "There's one more suprise entrant," Malenko comes out. They give them thirty minutes. |
Dean'O Machine'O.
