Not that this has anything to do with any thread that's on the first page, but Ricky Steamboat is one of the greatest workers ever in the history of everything. I hate younger fans and fans who won't do their homework because they have no idea what the awesomeness of Ricky Steamboat was all about.

I disagree. At that point in his career, I don't think he could have gotten much better. He was starting to get older, and injuries would have started catching up to him soon.
I could be wrong. He could have ended up being another shawn michaels, or misiwa, where they can still put on just as good of a match(better in michaels case) as when they were young. But that's really rare. In fact, Misiwa and Michaels are the only two that come to mind that can pull off that feat as frequently as they do. I will say I kind of exagerrated in my last post. Thinking more on it, he is a lot closer to the all japan aces, than I previously stated. But even Hayabusa's most epic matches, don't quite match the wars in All Japan through the early 90's, in my opinion. |
