Better Wrestler #21

Since I'm here I might as well do this up. John Cena has finally been defeated. Welcom all our new champion Dean Malenko. One of the finest the sport has ever seen, he's seems right at home on top of our competition. But the question we now have to ask is "can Dean go all they way?" If we've proved anything so far it's that joining Stone Cold isn't an easy task. But maybe there's enough Great Malenko love here on the boards to push him in that direction, but we wont know anything until this match is over so lets get going:

Dean easy for me. There is just an aura around him that Kidman can't touch. While I feel Kidman is one of the more underrated high flyers of his time he's just not Dean Malenko. But I don't think Kidman is ENTIRELY out classed.

BigDaddyCool 05-12-2008 09:45 PM

I hate them both because they are boring and i deny the actaul talent they might really have.

Londoner 05-12-2008 09:46 PM

Malenko, same reason as last time. Kidman isn't anywhere near matching upto malenko's level.

Destor 05-12-2008 11:25 PM

Ouch so far.

Theo Dious 05-12-2008 11:39 PM

I'm sorry, I know this is an unpopular opinion around here, but I was never inspired to give even a quarter of a shit about either of them. Malenko looks like an organized crime thug, Kidman looks like a botched clone of Bret Hart, and neither of them has ever managed to excite me in any way.

Theo Dious 05-12-2008 11:40 PM

Additionally, Malenko is destined to forever be "the guy Jericho was making fun of when he did the 1004 holds promo" there I said it.

did I ever tell yll baout trhe time I met Dena?

El Fangel 05-12-2008 11:57 PM

No, do tell.

Ruien 05-13-2008 12:02 AM

Billy, it is a pity vote.

Unfortunately for you I have become far to sober to tell that story.

Destor 05-13-2008 01:23 AM

Come on, Kidman wasn't that bad...

What Would Kevin Do? 05-13-2008 01:27 AM

Malenko. Outside of the Flock, I was never a big Kidman fan. If nothing else, Dean gets mega credit for giving Benoit the Crossface, and being ripped on by Jericho ;)

Lock Jaw 05-13-2008 01:34 AM

Dean is amazing, but... I dunno... I liked Kidman pre-haircut. I'll give him a sympathy vote.

Jeritron 05-13-2008 03:48 AM

lol Kidman was one of 3 candidates for who I was gonna have Dean face this round

Indifferent Clox 05-13-2008 04:02 AM

Dean

Although I enjoy Kidman

NoRoolz 05-13-2008 08:40 AM

Billy Kidman, for he was the first person I saw perform the Shooting Star Press, and for his awesome theme music in WWE.

Why would you want to piss off the Mafia?

These days, probably not a bad claim to fame.

Who said he was? I mean, this is the "better wrestler," right? People just evidently love Deano.

Though if I knew it was gonna be this lopsided, I think I might have sent another pity vote his way.

Rammsteinmad 05-13-2008 11:31 AM

Malenko. But I really like Kidman. This was quite a fun round.

Mr. Pierre 05-13-2008 01:31 PM

I was more of a Kidman fan, and also because a glass of water has more flavor than Malenko.

Porcupine 05-13-2008 01:37 PM

I'm giving my vote to Kidman althought Malenko is a better in-ring technician. Kidman's matches entertained me more, I loved his flock character and his WWE stint was decent enough. Dont know why the WWE didnt keep him, I'd want to see him back in the spotlight again.

Sorry Dean.

Heros Welcome 05-14-2008 08:27 AM

Back in the WCW days I was actually a big Kidman. Loved the 7 year itch. But at the same time I still really like Dean as a wrestler as well. Dean of course destroys his opponent again when it comes to mat work and wrestling in general, but Kidman wins in the drawing me in factor since I thought he was more fun to see.

Hmmm....ummmmm.....I'm gunna go with....Dean yet again. Wrestling was just that damn good.

BigDaddyCool 05-14-2008 09:27 AM

They are both vanillia midgets who treat wrestling as if it was real and go out with no zazz. Wrestling is about zazz, that is why Ulitmate Warrior will be remembered for ever and Dean Malenko will be a foot note to Jericho.

thedamndest 05-14-2008 11:40 AM

It is going to take a lot for me to vote against a man who knows 1000 holds, and c'mon, the Shooting Star Press isn't even a hold you just jump and twist. Last I checking, it wasn't World Championship Shootingstartpresstling, it was Wrestling, so Dean. Plus Kidman's name is retarded. ARE YOU A KID OR ARE YOU A MAN??? MAKE UP YOUR MIND!

Kane Knight 05-14-2008 12:14 PM

He's a kid man. You know, like Michael Jackson and Terranrich.

Innovator 05-14-2008 12:16 PM

Malenko, easily

There ya go KK

Kane Knight 05-14-2008 07:15 PM

Thanks, Destor.

Mister Sinister 05-16-2008 06:23 AM

I always liked Kidman, then again I been a mark for any mainstream high flyer who name isn't Rey Mysterio, who for some reason I never liked, I guess because he was hyped as like the Super man of all Cruiserweights, even in WCW

As far as this, like I said, Think Billy is very under-rated, but he was nowhere near PWI 1997 Wrestler of the year....Dean all the way, but Kidman still get credit for being a good talent.

Impact! 05-16-2008 10:32 AM

I'm gonna go with Kidman, not sure why

Impact! 05-16-2008 10:33 AM

(and yes I realise this is closed)

Impact! 05-16-2008 10:33 AM

(He really needed the vote)

The One 05-16-2008 12:32 PM

Kidman based his entire career off of one move. Dean Malenko has 1,000 holds.

1000 > 1

Destor 05-16-2008 05:21 PM

Wonder who the guy will be :shifty:

Indifferent Clox 05-18-2008 01:56 AM

I'd let him dean malenko anyday

Destor 05-18-2008 03:05 AM

Jerry and or HW need to update this PEICE

CSL 05-18-2008 03:14 AM

Kidman great, Malenko better

CSL 05-18-2008 03:15 AM

Then he realized the poll was closed
