You mean Spider-Man right? Or do you mean Daredevil? Or do you mean Rogue? Anyhow, that is most of the marvel multiverse. Hardly a new idea.

BigDaddyCool 05-13-2008 12:58 PM

Looks dumb. I'll rent it.

Kane Knight 05-13-2008 01:14 PM

Oh look. Superman for wiggers.

Kris P Lettus 05-13-2008 01:22 PM

what

Boondock Saint 05-13-2008 02:06 PM

I'll see it. Apparently it's dark humor.

Mr Regal 05-14-2008 06:35 PM

This film will be awesome and i will certainly go and see it. Will Smith is the Goods....mostly.

ct2k 05-14-2008 06:38 PM

Was rofling at this when I saw the trailer before Iron Man Last week, the whole theatre was the same tbh, especially at the whale bit:D

Didn't know about this until today. Might check it out.

Kane Knight 06-22-2008 07:01 PM

LOL. There's something about Will Smith and the lowest common denomenator.

BigDaddyCool 06-23-2008 10:42 AM

Now that I've seen more commersials, I kinda want to see it. Damn you advertising.

He loves to think that

Ol Dirty Dastard 06-23-2008 02:16 PM

There's something about Kane Knight and being a douchebag.

MCEazy 06-23-2008 02:35 PM

Fuk this does look good, good enough to warrant spending 20$'s at silvercity to see. :D

Downunder 06-23-2008 09:45 PM

Yeah I saw a trailer last night on TV - I'll do what i usually do and download it.

Mr. Nerfect 06-24-2008 06:24 AM

I'll end up seeing it with friends, although I think people are getting way too worked up about how awesome it looks. The best thing about it seems to be that it's giving Jason Bateman work.

Will Smith can be good (The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Pursuit of Happyness), but Eddie Murphy was good in Dreamgirls, and I don't think I'll get behind Meet Dave.

Tranny 07-05-2008 12:19 PM

I saw this yesterday. I was super excited for it but it kind of let me down.

Requiem 07-05-2008 05:26 PM

Saw it last night. I liked it. Wasn't -as- funny as I thought it would be, but still pretty funny. Quite dramatic toward the end too.. had my eyes welling up. :'(

YOUR Hero 07-05-2008 07:54 PM

I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Shaggy 07-05-2008 09:06 PM

Just saw it this morning...

Didnt care much for it...Definently the first Will Smith movie in a long time that left me unsatisfied when I left the theater.

It wasnt really Smiths fault...he was awesome in the film. It was just the script was written badly and everything was pretty predictable.

Apparently the original script when it was called "Tonight, He Comes" was supposed to be a lot more dramatic and better, but the studio got into messing with it and it ended up like it did. An uneven movie that didn't know which way it wanted to play it.

Skippord 07-06-2008 03:31 AM

My ladyfriend and I saw it the other day

it seemed kinda rushed

McLegend 07-06-2008 08:44 PM

I really thought concept was pretty cool, and it showed in the first half. The 2nd half of the movie though was really subpar.

Rob 07-06-2008 08:49 PM

I went to see it with my fuck bud on Thursday night. She took us into the wrong cinema and 40 minutes later, the new Narnia movie came on. I'm pissing myself laughing. It's like 11pm and 4 people in the showing. Haven't even seen the first one but I'll watch this anyway.... no I won't because 15 minutes into it, the film goes off and the lights come on.

Complain to manager. Get refund and free movie anytime next week.

Next night saw Hancock. Not bad. Seen worse.

Some moron was walking in the middle of the road on the way home. Think he got kicked out of a taxi for being pissed out of his nut. Anyway, he tried to attack my car and I nearly killed the poor fucker.

mitchables 07-06-2008 10:31 PM

I dunno, I found the film's indecisiveness about whether or not it was trying to be a comedy or a drama a little grating. It started off promisingly enough, but somewhere along the line, like CoE said, it started to feel like it didn't know what it wanted to be.

What Would Kevin Do? 07-07-2008 01:12 AM

I enjoyed it. I went in with pretty low expectations though, since I knew it had been fucked up by the studio. Not great, but not bad.

Yeah, first 30 mins or more was great, fast paced action and humor but afterwards the story got convoluted and rushed :-\

Stickman 07-07-2008 04:33 PM

I'd see it when it comes to DVD with no expectations and probably like it.

Jon Kano 07-07-2008 07:15 PM

Just seen it, thought it was pretty good!

ending was a mis meh, but still good!

Shaggy 07-10-2008 02:24 PM

I decided to give it a second chance....

Went to a drivein and saw that followed by Get Smart....

I dont know if it was the atmosphere or the fact that movie audio was being blasted through my car speakers but I actually enjoyed it this time around. The only thing I didnt like was the little twist in the movie.

In my opinion they should have ended it something like this.....
SPOILERS IN BLACK

Besides getting rid of the whole..we were married and paired up shit... I would have had it to where at the end the girl was dying and hankcock leaps out the window and falls killing himself and allowing the girl to live. Or just ended it as both of them are laying there dead. Then I would have had that business guy have a voice over saying that Hancock showed the world that they can be better if they just try and because of that he will live on forever inside of us.

Granted its still a shitty ending itself but I probably would have enjoyed it a little more.

Just John 07-11-2008 04:43 PM

i dunno i kinda liked it, not too bad. was gonna see journey to the centre of the earth but watched this instead. def wasnt predictable, didnt see the 'twist' halfwayish through the film, thought it was gonna carry on as usual. some bits were a cop out tho

YOUR Hero 07-12-2008 10:59 AM

Movies are almost always written to cater to the teenager market and that's tiresome.

Kapoutman 07-12-2008 05:44 PM

Saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. I don't know if it's CoE and Mitch that lowered my expectations, but I was expecting some kind of disaster. Instead, I've seen a movie that had flaws, but not enough to keep me from being entertained. I think you can see under some of the bad parts that the original scenario wanted to go a bit deeper (such as when they start explaining the backstory of the superheroes and stop a bit short in my opinion, as well as with Hancock's rehabilitation), but the actors saved it for me. They played their parts just great.
