Feuds you'd pay to see...

Let's face it, wrestling is becoming less and less worthy of our time, nevermind our money. But somewhere, in the deep pool of talent that the industry still has, there is some dolla-dolla feuds that we'd love to see. Use this space to talk about dream feuds you'd love to see (try to stick to actual active wrestlers, no bringing back Rocky or Bret or anything like that).

Anybody Thrilla 05-14-2008 01:36 PM

<s>The Rock versus Bret Hart</s>

We're in the midst of it now, but a Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho feud over something bigger than a feigned injury would be great. I am actually enjoying what they're doing now, but I'd like to see them feud over the championship or something.

I also want to see Michaels/Angle done properly. I also think Kurt Angle/MVP would be awesome.

The One 05-14-2008 01:48 PM

The MCMG/Londrick thread more or less established that I think those two teams is a big fantasy for a lot of us...but I got a few more...

Christian Cage/Alex Shelley in something like a Best of Seven series. I see so much potential in Shelley. He'll never be a big main eventer, I just don't think he has the size or the right x-factor for it, but he's got so damn much charisma and ability that I think he could easily be like a Benoit-esque guy, sort of the stepping stone to being a main eventer. Anyway, I could easily see Cage and Shelley having MotN every time they lock up.

Kevin Nash/Great Khali...so long as they never had an actual match it would be one of the best feuds ever.

MVP/James Storm; don't ask me why, but I think they could work very well together. And I know it's heel on heel violence, but whatever.

Got some more I'm sure, eh, I'll get around to them later...

Slow 05-14-2008 01:48 PM

Shawn Michaels - Undertaker

Raven - Mick Foley (both technically active, although the image in my head is of them both in their prime)

Slow 05-14-2008 01:51 PM

Also,

Mark Henry Vs Awsome Kong

thedamndest 05-14-2008 01:51 PM

MVP in 2 years/HHH 5 years ago -
Undertaker/most of Raw
Umaga/Edge
Matt Hardy/Jeff Hardy

:lol:I would have never in a hundred years thought to list those two, and yet now that I have the image in my head of those two fighting I can't rest until it really happens.

Mooияakeя™ 05-14-2008 01:59 PM

Matt Hardy / Jeff Hardy is a must in future. When both have become main eventers. They could seriously pull it off as a FACE/FACE match easily.

The One 05-14-2008 02:01 PM

I would agree, except does anyone remember how lame the M.Hardy/J.Hardy match was back in 2001 or 2002...

Both guys are about a billion times better now, though. I hated both of the Hardyz back then, but I can dig both of them now.

Johnny Vegas 05-14-2008 04:20 PM

Burke/Edge
HBK/Benjamin
Morrison/Benjamin (on RAW)
Burke/HBK
Either Hardy/HBK (title matches)
MVP/Edge
Y2J/Burke
Y2J/Edge

Zen v.W.o. 05-14-2008 04:35 PM

Teddy Hart/HBK
Teddy Hart/CM Punk
Edge/Christian

I doubt I'd pay for anything else unless the card was strong, ya know.

Xero 05-14-2008 04:39 PM

lol, Teddy Hart.

Sparkle sparkle!

Zen v.W.o. 05-14-2008 04:43 PM

Once again the name Teddy Hart gets immediate attention. It sells itself.

Xero 05-14-2008 04:46 PM

Teddy Hart is an attention whore. Of course he'll get attention.

He just won't get people to pay for that attention.

I see you failed to read my response then. Paying customer.

And he'd have lots more if they knew this thread existed.

Loose Cannon 05-14-2008 04:52 PM

not a lot today that would make me buy a $40 show just to see one match.

Probably the only matches that would do it would be

Sting vs The Undertaker

Rock vs HBK

Xero 05-14-2008 04:53 PM

I said people, not person.

Of course people will pay for it, though. The people who find joy in empty flipping and a pathetic loose cannon rip-off gimmick.

I'm just glad he'll never be pushed in any company that matters. Because even if he was great, he's done too much stupid shit to be on a contract.

I feel obligated to take this time to point out that Teddy is not a draw. Bringing in interest from Zen only requires the name Hart, and most anyone else, even fans of the Hart family (and in some cases, especially fans of the Harts) wouldn't pay a penny to see Teddy.

Still, this thread is about who you'd pay to see, and I can't get on Zen's ass for personal choice

Stupidity can be placed aside, given many of the wrestlers still working today have been pretty damn stupid at certain points in their careers.

Has Teddy fucked himself over numerous times? Yeah of course.

But fucking hell is the man entertaining.

He may not be a draw to any of the major companies yet(obviously) but his name was always top billing in any promotion he worked with, no matter what, and it was his match people talked about and remebered at the end of the shows, and you can include TNA or ROH among them.

The One 05-14-2008 05:04 PM

I don't remember a single event, other than maybe some MLW shows were Teddy was the most talked about part of the show.

Zen v.W.o. 05-14-2008 05:11 PM

Teddy's matches in TNA during that tournament they had consisting of wrestlers competing for their nationality were big time hyped, as were his very few matches he had while with roh.

Teddy/Juvi in particular, as well as the scrambled cage match, which let's face it, was made for Teddy and Jack that night.

A few more, but Teddy got booted soon after in both promotins. In fact he got booted that very night in ROH for that particular showing, despite the fans raving for him.

U-Warrior 05-14-2008 05:50 PM

Kurt Angle/Tanahashi

Some cool suggestions here, but...how can you list all of those and NOT have HBK/Morrison?

James Steele 05-14-2008 07:45 PM

HBK/Edge
RVD/HBK (I am still pissed that they ruined the WHC match on RAW between them)
Sting/Triple H
James Storm/Triple H

Fox 05-14-2008 08:07 PM

AJ Styles vs. Shawn Michaels

Sting vs. Undertaker

Rob Van Dam vs. Christopher Daniels (I think Daniels could match up with RVD like Lynn used to in ECW)

John Cena vs. The Rock

Heros Welcome 05-14-2008 08:12 PM

Undertaker vs. Sting

HBK vs. AJ Styles

RVD vs. AJ Styles

HBK vs. CM Punk

RVD vs. HBK

I would like to see a follow up to what happen at 2:21

Mr. Nerfect 05-14-2008 08:44 PM

I would pay to see Paul London vs. Shawn Michaels, come to think of it. Even though I don't think London was trained personally by HBK, I think there is potential in a "passing the torch" moment between the two. Providing that London was allowed to both wrestle and fly, which is unlikely.

Cross-promotional, I think Chris Jericho and Alex Shelley match up really well. Both are similar kinds of wrestlers, and both have personalities. It would succeed on both the sports and entertainment level.

Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho have never really had a feud while they were both main eventers. Let's throw that suggestion out there.

A lot of people want to see Sting vs. The Undertaker, but to me, Sting vs. Kane actually seems a better fit. It probably started in my mark days, just because of the visuals: black and white face paint vs. red and black mask.

I'd like to see Rob Van Dam come back and feud with Triple H and Kurt Angle, in that order. That's in a dream promotion, though, I guess.

Christian Cage vs. Edge would be pretty cool.

CM Punk turning heel and ranting on someone about steroids and drugs would be pretty cool. I'd even settle for him going anti-politics and feuding with Triple H or Shawn Michaels.

Innovator 05-14-2008 11:11 PM

CM Punk vs. HBK

Homicide vs. HBK

I too would also like to see Christian Cage vs. Edge

Dream feud in 1998: Brian Pillman vs. Steve Austin

Low Ki vs. Kurt Angle

Hanso Amore 05-14-2008 11:35 PM

Chris Beniot Vs Scott Peterson

Battle of the Wife/Child Killers.

The Optimist 05-14-2008 11:37 PM

Mistico vs. Rey Misterio Jr.
Mistico vs. Billy Kidman
Crow Sting vs. 96' Taker
Dean Malenko vs. Shawn Micheals
Dean Malenko vs. MVP

Fueds I wouldn't pay for, but I would enjoy:
Johnny Nitro vs. Jushin Thunder Liger
Homicide vs. Batista

Truue. :y: They need to start putting some of these together. Thats why ppl llike Morrison, Burke, Punk and others aren't as over as they should be. Wrestlets w/ good programs make ppl like me say 'i have to buy this PPV b/c their match(es) will be at least ***1/2

Also, IMO, Cena/Rock would get as much heat as Hogan/Rock.

Bad Company 05-15-2008 02:43 AM

Angle v Sting

Rammsteinmad 05-15-2008 10:44 AM

Charlie Haas VS Shelton Benjamin
CM Punk VS Shelton Benjamin
Matt Hardy VS Triple H
Brian Kendrick & Paul London VS AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels (who were TNA Tag Champs when I first wanted to see this)

Londoner 05-15-2008 11:07 AM

Edge v HBK
Matt Hardy V edge(again, but for the WHC TITLE)
Jericho V Jeff Hardy
Jericho V MVP

The One 05-15-2008 11:32 AM

This really isn't a feud, but if Mistico is involved in the World X Cup this year, I will be glued to it all. Mistico = MONEY!

Vastardikai 05-15-2008 02:02 PM

Bryan Danielson-HBK
JBL-Kobashi (just to see Layfield's chest turned into raw hamburger)
Joe-Umaga
Sting-Undertaker
TNA Booking Staff-Unemployment (with the booking staff jobbing)
