SoundMax problem
 

<font color=goldenrod>OK, so the audio on my computer is really fucked up.

I come home from my long weekend to find the audio capability on my computer is gone. My speakers are on, but nothing. I don't even have access to the volume control because, according to the computer, there is no audio device installed.

...the thing is, I have SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio on this computer. I assumed it was a driver issue, so I downloaded a new driver...and when I tried to install it, it told me it needed to uninstall SoundMAX first.

OK, no problem.......until I went to re-install SoundMAX. Quite simply, I've tried a bunch of times, and I can't get the damn thing to reinstall. The folder is no longer in Program Files, the only place I even see SoundMAX is in Add or Remove Programs.....which does nothing because it won't let me reinstall.

So yeah I have no clue what to do and I am going crazy without any sound. I will be pissed off beyond belief if the only solution is to wipe out everything.</font>
