Mayo 05-28-2008 05:34 PM

Where is FF8?

I can't remember my list, it's probably way too long.

Boomer 05-28-2008 05:45 PM

I could not possibly make a list of this easily...though I wouldn't mind compiling one at some point.

PapaGeorgio 05-28-2008 05:52 PM

Tetris

Funky Fly 05-28-2008 06:17 PM

Gonna take me a long time to remember them all, and then more time to type them all.

Bad Company 05-28-2008 06:22 PM

Yeah, I have clocked so many PC games it's not even funny.

PapaGeorgio 05-28-2008 06:26 PM

The Sims

Gauntlet

thedamndest 05-28-2008 10:00 PM

Contra for NES WITHOUT using the 30 lives code.

Xero 05-28-2008 10:56 PM

This is like asking "what movies have you watched in their entirety" in this day and age...

Crimson 05-28-2008 11:25 PM

I could make a list cuz I haven't passed many. In order of them coming to memory;

Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 4
GTA 3
GTA Vice city

And for the old Nintendo
Double Dragon 2
SMB 1 and 3
Mega Man 2
Mega Man Legends
Punch out

Think that's it.

PapaGeorgio 05-28-2008 11:47 PM

SimCity (SNES)

Kapoutman 05-29-2008 12:10 AM

I can list the games I beat that I own, but I spent so much money renting games when I was younger that the list would go on and on. :o

I know I had to rent Sunset Riders a couple of times before I could beat it.

thedamndest 05-29-2008 02:22 PM

One of my proudest gaming accomplishments was beating TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project on NES with no Game Genie. That game was ridiculously hard (although not as hard as the first one, which was hard but for much different reasons already cited by AVGN).

Mister Sinister 05-29-2008 06:25 PM

Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil (PS1 and Gamecube Version)
Resident Evil 2 (Playstation and N64)
Resident Evil 3 (Playstation)
Resident Evil 4 (Gamecube and Wii Version)
Halo 1
Halo 3
Gears Of War
Dead Rising
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
X-Men Legends 1 and 2
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 3
Devil May Cry
Devil May Cry 3
Devil May Cry 4
Aladdin on SNES

And for the love of god, it pissed me off, I could never beat Batman:Returns on SNES, i would always make it to the Final Penguin Boss battle where he's in the giant Duck and I would get killed.

I know I've beaten more games, but just wanted to name these.

BigDaddyCool 05-30-2008 01:36 PM

Civilation 3
Civilation 4
Age of Empires
Age of Kings
Zoo Tycoon 2
Sim City 4

Honestly, not a lot. Unless it's a great game I get bored easily.

Dark Supremo 05-30-2008 09:12 PM

Anyone who has time to complete THAT many games seriously needs to get out more. Combine that with the several hours you spend a day on TPWW and you really should have a think about life.

PapaGeorgio 05-31-2008 02:34 AM

Shut up, nobody has listed an extraordinary amount of games really. Especially if you consider some of us are in our 20s, have been playing games since we were 5. You figure any game can realistically be beaten in 1 month without a great deal of time put into it. Thus it isn't that big of a list.

Dark Supremo 05-31-2008 08:49 AM

From what I hear, Assman is about 17?

Triple A 05-31-2008 11:07 AM

NES:

RAMPAGE (took like 97235 hours without turning the NES off)
Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros 2

Got up to Tyson a bunch of times in Punch-Out but never could beat him. :(

Genesis:

Beavis and Butt-head
Mortal Kombat
NBA Jam
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3

PlayStation:

Metal Gear Solid

Probably a bunch more but that is all I can remember.

I used to use the special key number to get to Tyson and I ended up beating him with no problems, but the guy I always had trouble with was Super Macho Man, he was a bastard with that spinning punch

Fox 05-31-2008 04:00 PM

I beat myself at checkers once.

I also beat Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Goldeneye 007, and Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage (SNES) when I was a kid. I can't bring myself to commit the time to beat a game these days; there's so much storyline bullshit that I hate sitting through, plus I feel like a toad playing games all day.

OssMan 05-31-2008 04:23 PM

DO A BARREL ROLL

Y2Ant 06-03-2008 07:21 PM

I remember beating Goldeneye on 00 Agent, fuck me that was a bitch. Especially the Cradle level.

Y2Ant 06-03-2008 07:22 PM

And Diddy Kong Racing, fucking hell that pissed me off big time.

1) What would be considered "Beating" a game like SimCity or the Sims? To me, they are open ended games that really don't have a set way that would be considered "beating" it. Not meaning this as insulting anyone. Just wondering if the developers had a set point in which you exactly "beat" those types of games.
2) Every game I buy and play I eventually beat. Which means that unless it's open-ended or something I bought then hated enough to trade back, I have beaten it.

Some of them include:
NES:
- Double Dragon 2
- SMB 1, 2, & 3
- Back To The Future (anyone who has read my posts in the past knows of my story around THIS game).
- Legend Of Zelda
- Zelda 2
- TMNT
- TMNT2
- Metroid
- All Mega Man games (1 through 6)
- A few others I do not remember

SNES:
- Super Metroid (IN UNDER 2 HRS, MIND YOU)
- Mega Man 7
- Mega Man x1, X2, and X3
- Super Mario World
- TMNT4
- Super Mario RPG
- Legend Of Zelda: Link To The Past
- Super Mario World 2

GBA:
- Final Fantasy IV Advance
- Final Fantasy V Advance
- Final Fantasy VI Advance
(NOTE: You owe yourself a favor to get those GBA FF games. GREAT versions)
- Metroid Fusion
- Metroid Zero Mission

DS:
- New Super Mario Bros.

PS1:
- Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 9
- Metal Gear Solid
- WWF War Zone
- Wild Arms
- Beyond the Beyond (ULTRA tough RPG to beat)
- Final Fantasy Anthologies (which contained 5 and 6)
- Final Fantasy Chronicles (contains 4 and Chrono Trigger)
- Gex
- WWF Smack Down 2

N64:
- Zelda: Octrana Of Time
- Sin & Punishment (via Wii VC. Good game to grab off of there)

PS2:
(NOTE: I'll denote what I considered as beating the game when it's applicable)
- Metal Gear Solid 2
- Metal Gear Solid 3
- Final Fantasy 10, X-2, and 12
- Guitar Hero (clearing the full setlist)
- Guitar Hero 3 (unlocking the Dragonforce song)
- Kingdom Hearts
- Kingdom Hearts 2
- GTA 3
- GTA: Vice City (and I got 100% to boot)
- GTA: San Andreas
- Mega Man X8

GAMECUBE:
- Metroid Prime 1 & 2

WII:
- Metroid Prime 3

PS3:
- Guitar Hero 3 (same consideration)
- Rock Band (clearing the full setlist)
- Call Of Duty 3
- Call Of Duty 4
- GTA 4
- Metal Gear Solid 4
- Super Stardust HD

Today you can add non-emulator Karnov to my list. Yes, that's right. Karnov. No handshakes right now, my thumbs are so sore.
