Let me sort of grow on that. Even when Lashley was getting used wrong by management, I never developed a real total distaste for him. So I'm glad he's not dropped into drug abuse and male prostitution, but I don't watch MMA and him being in it or participating won't make me want to.

Ya know, living near a USMC base (MCAGCC Twentynine Palms to be exact) I hear that alot from people who mean it. And on top of that, every time I've seen a Marine get in a fight with an Army guy, the Marine wins.

Was Lesnar a Marine? When I googled "Lesnar marine wiki" the top resluts were for John Cena and his movie consecutively.

I don't think Lesnar was in any of the armed services. I was just talking about the mind set of a lot of people from the MCAGCC.

My point is more that they aren't even particularly trained to fight.

The thing is, Marines are primarily trained to be tough. That's great, but stamina and endurance is only part of the formula

(Also, I'm yet to see a competition where Army participants were schooled by much of anyone short of the SEALS, but that's another story).

He'll come into his first match with "big publicity," dominate the first half of the first round because of his gorilla-like size, and then tap out to a knee-bar mid first due to his utter inexperience.
