MP3 Batch Tagging
I want a piece of software that automatically retags all my MP3s from the FreeDB Music database, or somewhere similar.
Does anyone know of anything like this? |
I'm not sure if there's something like that exactly. But I use a prog called Mp3Tag that lets me select a folder, say an album folder, and automatically set anything that is the same between them, like the album name and artist.

Yeah Cheers, I've tried that one, and it does just that. But I want one that's gonna retag 12,000 MP3s for me :D

Well, FYI, Winamp Pro does it. Surprisingly.

Ah, nice, very useful.

Looks like you already have something that works for you but there is a program called Picard that does exactly what you were looking for. It uses MusicBrainz.org databases to fill in all the information based on what it can read from the file already and updates everything it can. Will rename your files in the format you want as well.
Just in case you want to give it a try. |
Winamp does it quite well actually.
