GTA IV "Swingset Car Launcher" glitch...
 

Has anybody found this yet? It's fucking hilarious.

The playground where this is located is on the first Island, on Saponi Street and Mohegan Street. There are two swingsets, the one on the left being the one to use. Pull a vehicle (preferrably a StationWagon or a Lokus) up to the center pole till you're touching it and just give it gas. Eventually, the car will just...fly. I've flown like 3 blocks yesterday....Seriously damages the car too beyond anything I've seen prior in the game, without blowing up. I found that bigger vehicles don't work too well.

Give it a try if you haven't already. :D

Both streets are on the map. They're near Outlook Park. Deadwood Street goes directly from the park, then becomes Mohegan.

man i havn't been able to do this w/o being ejected from the car in the first 2 seconds.... anyway around this?

I've been doing it in Free Mode, but I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Freemode doesn't eject you so that would be a way around it.

The engine has made for some really awesome glitches. Most of these are collision problems and should have been fixed, but honestly, they're pretty cool.

Though the one glitch that really is shitty is the boat one. Almost every time I swim under one I wind up in the boat, I assume since they didn't include an underwater physics engine.

Yeah, thats pretty annoying not being able to dive at all.

I think it's kinda dumb when u crash ur car and its stuck on its side that when u get out of the car u magically appear on top of it. :wtf:

Yeah, pretty much what was stated above. You have to be online in Free Mode to get it to work. I thought it might work in Single player too, but it didn't.

Yeah I did this and flew like a mile, like way over buildings for like 10 seconds lol

Also I hit some other glitch when I was driving on the subway tracks and alluva sudden the world fell out and I just kinda floated in blue space for a while and then I randomly landed on the street. I dunno.

Yeah, I've done the subway thing too. Had a friend in the car and we couldn't stop falling. Finally got out of the car and that seemed to drop us right on top of the other guy playing in the game too.
