John Goodman needs to be in more movies
 

Seriously, like one of the most underutilized comedic actors around. The guy is hilarious, from his timing to his delivery.

I guess I could go with an easy jab at Goodman's weight on his appearances in movies, but I tend to agree that he's pretty good.

Just seeing him in the Speed Racer trailers made me cringe a little though. I'd like to think that actors like him avoid movies like that.

I was just thinking this last night while watching Roseanne. I was thinking to myself "Man.. what happened to John Goodman? He needs to be in more movies or shows." He went to college here. :cool:

Also, I didn't realize it but he played the voice of the Evil Robot Santa Claus in Futurama.

Going to be the Futurama episode Xmas story where The Santa Claus Robot(Ferret)tires to kill everyone(me).

Who voiced the Santa Claus Robot in that episode? That's right none other then John Goodman.

He was in Speed Racer. Looks like he slimmed down some, too.

He's great in the West Wing too. I really hope he's lost weight because I am worried that he could go at any time.

When i saw the first Speed Racer trailer it was the first time i'd seen him in years.

He was also the only thing i liked about the Speed Racer trailer.

yah he showed some range in that movie. His scenese were really good. The only good scenese in that movie .

Just watched Fallen with Denzel Washington and he was in it. He was great at the end.

Yes, they do have real theatres in Amsterdam, as well as sexy ones.

His role in Barton Fink was fucking amazing. Same with his cameo in O Brother Where Art Thou.

I'm not a mindless mark for the man (I simply haven't seen enough of him), but I agree that he is generally pretty awesome. He was the best thing about the Speed Racer movie. Part of me thinks he occasionally picks trash so he can shine more than he normally would. And collect a massive payday.

He can play sympathetic and down right loathsome well. That's enough range for me.

He was hands down the best Fred Flintstone too.
