Last night was the best Raw ever.

5 million viewers every week and only 1.5 million people signed up for the money. :D

Vince McMahon's lack of phone dialing ability.

Being Rick Rolled TWICE~!

Jerry Lawler laughing through out and JR losing his mind.

Vince counting Lillian's tit size to get to 98.

People booing people winning money.

Cena got tripped on a table.

Mae Young (this woman is great) grabbing Charlie Haas by his waist line to mack on him.

Nobody on the phone winning prizes having the slightest sound of excitement.

"HOLY SHIT!"

Main event with a count out finish and then the champion and his challenger being laid out with a cross body from a druggie who obviously lost his razor before the show.

I absolutely LOVED this show.

BigDaddyCool 06-10-2008 12:11 PM

I missed most of it. It seems like a desprate attmept to get ratings up, but instead of offering new mainevent to look forward to, it is just giving away money.

Afterlife 06-10-2008 12:13 PM

Not "desperate"! Avant garde!

Kane Knight 06-10-2008 12:15 PM

LOL aye.

Xero 06-10-2008 12:32 PM

I think Vince got this one wrong. Ratings bring money, money doesn't bring ratings.

Stickman 06-10-2008 12:47 PM

Best Raw in the history of Raw. I'll be sure to tune in next week.

I absolutely LOVED this show.

These are my same reasons why I actually enjoyed Raw.

Missed raw last night, not sure if i missed out on much, will watch the replay though.

Afterlife 06-10-2008 01:43 PM

It was interesting. I wouldn't call it all that great.

LC gets it.

It was awesome in a total train wreck of a shit TV show way.

Innovator 06-10-2008 01:54 PM

It was hilarious to see Vince look his age dialing the phone

Londoner 06-10-2008 01:56 PM

Actually, that was great. I imagine it was rather humbling, as well.

This is why it took 4 years to rehire D'Lo. Vince was dialing his number.

SammyG 06-10-2008 03:48 PM

But it was so obvious that he has not dialled a phone for himself in years. C'mon its dialling a phone, not brain surgery.

Anyway, being outsid the US this Money Mania thng is just eating up interview/ match time. Fair play to Fourfifty and I'm happy you won, but I don't really care because I can't win, and am an even more dedicated fan as I watch Raw from 2am - 4am. I'm sure those in other countries will agree.

You wouldn't watch the lottery draw if you didn't have a ticket.

Most of their American fans won't win sheerly because of the signup (4.5 million fans, 1.5 million sign ups and I doubt all of them were Raw viewers anyway), so it's a waste for a lot of us, too. I understand it can be won, but obviously, most people don't think it's worth the effort. And every second Vince is getting Rick Rolled, getting a busy signal, or asking Charlie Haas to not be so unlucky is a second those fans are gonna sit there bored.

Unless, of course, they're going for "So bad, it's good."

But it's a waste for most viewers. It's a waste for WWE, because they're more rewarding the hardcore fans who would watch anyway, rather than enticing new fans. In fact, I'd be surprised if they got their ratings up a couple of points even.

Afterlife 06-11-2008 12:13 PM

I will give them an E for effort, tho. At least they're aknowledging the problem and trying to cook up ways to get fans back. Granted, Vince is doing the billionaire avarice thing, and thinking money will solve the problem, but he's gotta start somewhere. I'm not going to knock them, regardless of the lackluster lottery.

Rob 06-11-2008 01:13 PM

Nobody fucking gives a shit watching this at home though. I'd rather they just put $1 million dollars cash in a case, get 10 fans to come to Raw one week and let them all have a key and whoever opens it wins.

Fabien Barthez 06-11-2008 01:19 PM

Or have a hobo invitational at every city they go to, and just have a bumfights battle royal. Winner takes all.

That sounds an awful lot like a TNA match.

Oh, right, that IS a TNA match. No wonder it's a terrible idea.

I was on the edge of my seat. Shut up.

Destor 06-11-2008 01:44 PM

That goes for you too ZERO.

Xero 06-11-2008 02:09 PM

Oh really DRESSTOR?

Yeah, that was terrible, I know.

My reasoning is one segment. And it a fucking WWE idea. They did it before!

Their current idea is an EPIC FAIL~!

So the guy who brags about loving shitty wrestling was on the edge of his seat?
I'm affording for this being sarcasm, but lately, I've discovered myself assuming too much of people.
Like intelligence.

But anyway, I digress. This was a dumb, poorly thought out idea from the start, and the only shame is Vince doesn't seem to realize that.

Afterlife 06-11-2008 04:06 PM

It was one show. Jeez.
